Hi all... So I bit the bullet and booked a trip for May... I'm usually one that gets my airfare really early... I see united has flights from PDX to MCO for ~$400 pp, southwest doesn't have dates open yet, jet blue (which I personally love taking to California) has sucky flight times... Do I hang in there for southwest pricing? Or is $400 pp about as good as it gets, personally I'd jump on $350 I think... We're just used to $118 or $158 rt whenever we go to DL... So $400 is a big jump! Anyone with any experience flying from the west coast? Just editing to add, I found okay flights on American for $350 pp, so now I am wondering if I can do better than that even?? Or if I should snap these up....

I booked tickets for our August trip back in January. The best I could get from SFO - MCO was $473 on United (total - after taxes and fees). For four of us, I paid $1895. We usually fly out of San Jose, but San Francisco was less expensive for this trip (even with added long-term parking) and the flights were direct. I think $400 from the West Coast sounds pretty good.

Thanks! Maybe I should grab these at $350 pp then... That's taxes and fees included!

I fly out of PHX and right now there's nothing less than $400 for a trip in February. I'm going to wait and see about Southwest since I'm pretty sure they will have a sale that might drop it down to $179 one way instead of $199. I don't think I've ever paid less than $300 for a RT flight to MCO but that was a couple of years ago. Airfare is more expensive every year.

We have the option of driving to SEA or PDX. We couldn't find reasonable airfare so we decided to go to Hawaii instead. Prices were actually cheaper. Looks like it will be Disneyland trips for now on.

We could do Seattle, but parking up there is insane, and we usually have to get a hotel with free parking and shuttle (to make it cheaper than parking on site) so all that hassle doesn't always negate the savings...

I hear you on hawaii... We are off to kauai in 5 weeks, and I was thrilled to get our airfare for $560 pp... Yikes!

I've tracked the past few years, cheapest that I've ever bought with taxes and all fees is about $190 one way. Through Southwest.

So anything around $200 per person, one way, would be a good deal in my mind.

Sounds decent to me ~ DD and I are visiting WDW in October, I purchased our flight there in late May ~ $169 each on Frontier and our return home airfare last month, Southwest for $160 per person. I'm a wee bit east of you :)

So around $329 pp rt? I looked at frontier too... Flew with them once and loved them... Not thrilled with the flight times coming from PDX...

I think I am going to snap up these American airline tix! Thanks all!

Eeek... It's done... Booked! Thanks all... Decided I better grab those $350 flights... Not gonna quibble if it goes up or down a few bucks.... But $350 is way better than $400... So, our grand total for flights is $1048 and change... And we don't check bags... So now I just need a deal on a rental car, and to work on paying off the vacay package... Oh boy. I haven't even really discussed it with hubby. He just rolls his eyes at me and my vacation planning! Lol

Glad you decided to jump on it...that is about as good as it gets from PDX, GEG or SEA. Lucky you! My husband and I took our first DW trip together in Feb 2012 and had an amazing time...I wish we could go again someday but it's not likely. Maybe DL in a few years, though. I don't know how people take so many expensive vacations! We've done our honeymoon in Maui/Oahu and Disney World in 7 years of marriage and that's it...and those were each $3k vacations...I can't imagine spending that much on a vacation again!

9 nights in Florida is costing me more than 14 nights at really amazing all inclusive in Mexico with lots of excursions... I really can't believe it. But it's disney right? Lol

We just went May 28th- June 4th and paid $269 pp out of Phx! I think it was a fluke as the prices never went that low again. I jumped on that so fast even though we weren't even planning a trip. :cool1: I booked last October and I booked them as one ways on Southwest. The going there flight was non-stop for $112 pp and the coming home flight was $157 pp but we had to switch planes in ABQ.

Ipaid under 1800 on AA for 5 lax to mco leaving in 8 days..........I bought the tickets back in november and am happy with times direct flight etc...
