west coast people in Florida

Hey everyone, just wondering if there are any California or west coast people here in Florida? Im from Ca, my hometown is Modesto and i go to school at Fresno State.

I love Florida's weather but i hate the humidity and not liking it at all, i do miss home. When guest ask you where you're from do they always ask you "why are you here?"

They probably ask you that because DL is a lot closer than WDW and they know you're a CP because of your name tag. Other probably just wonder why you would ever leave Cali.

I'm from Ventura and I get the same questions when I'm back in Florida. Although I think it's more of why I travel across the country instead of just going to Disneyland.

I can't wait to move to Florida right now because I do want a change from California. I love California and all, but I want a chance to move and experience more...

Are you going to Cal Poly SLO? My daughter goes there, will be graduating this year. She did Fall Advantage 2009. She's been talking up the CP ever since she's returned.

That's the one although it was my own internship research that led me to the College Program. I've been studying Civil Engineering, and have been pretty heavily involved in the Week of Welcome program the last few years, which I definitely fell back on a lot when I was doing the phone interview.

ha ha ya, they get so excited about hearing im from Cali and they say "I wanna go there!!!" Sounds so weird when people say that. I always say "i couldnt get into the DL CP, then they say whats that and i go into my monolaug about it. I do miss Cali but im havin fun here and might stay here on account that Cali has no jobs
