Okay, I realize I'm a little late to the game, but I'm just wondering if there's anyway to get reservations for a West Coast cruise? I went to the DCL site and there was nothing in June or July. I haven't checked for May or September. Would a travel agent have other information? Just curious, DH mentioned he would like to do that cruise - I just never thought he would, so never looked into it.

Also, have the prices for the West Coast cruises been much more expensive than the regular ones?

According to what I've been reading, the West Coast cruises are a lot more expensive than other cruises.

I have heard that the Panama Canal cruises are sold. But, I don't think all the West Coast Cruises in June, July and August are sold.

Did you request 'special cruises' (I think it is special or west coast) in the availability?

On DCL's site, I found availabilty the last week of May. I booked with allseastravel, they had much better rates.

the last time I looked Expedia had a lot of openings. If you're traveling with 2 children only Cat. 4's are open right now. If you're lucky and you're traveling with one child or only need a cabin that sleeps 3 there were a lot of openings. When I checked Expedia rates weren't that much higher than when I booked way back in May. Good Luck!~

I think I got the last cat 4 that was available. I told the TA any day in the summer was fine so I had more options to work from as well.

Good Luck
