Were there any Poly discounts this spring?

I recall a discount package coming out earlier this spring - two actually, the first upgraded the tickets to hoppers (maybe hoppers with water parks), and then I thought another package came out that had a room discount tied to it. Just wondering if anyone has that information. I'm trying to figure out estimates for next year for 4 nights.

Also, was anyone able to get any Poly discounts this May? We want to stay there for 4 nights next spring after our cruise, but will book WL if Poly wasn't discounted this year.

When we were there for Memorial Day Weekend, we were at the POP pool and just happened to be sitting next to a CM who works in reservations.

After talking to her for a while...we mentioned to her we are planning on staying at POLY in August. She was honest and told me that they have NO CLUE on when the codes are released until the day they get to work. For some reason, its top secret. She did say that Disney is aware of all the message boards and thats one of the reasons why they are like that.

She mentioned to me that with the construction at the CR taking place, it is a convention resort. Which means all the Conventioners are being placed at the POLY and GF. She stated she thinks the AP room discounts at the monorail resorts will be LIMITED if any at all because of the construction at CR.

We have a AAA Rate for the POLY already. Aug 8-19. 11 nights...$3400. I would like to get it to under $2700 if possible. BUT, you only live once and my wife really wants to stay there...so "what the heck."

Thanks for replying! I know there were no AP discounts this May at the Poly, or at least I remember that being an issue for some DISsers this spring. But there was some sort of package deal out there after the "park hoppers" upgrade one, and that is the one I'm trying to dig up details on.

I do appreciate the info about the overflow at Poly and GF because of the CR construction. I guess I'll just book WL because we love it there, and it will save us a bunch of money anyway. If anything comes out next spring I'll try to switch then.

Have a great trip to the Poly. We visited there 4 or 5 times during our stay at CR/BC just a few weeks ago. It is so beautiful and peaceful there.

Thanks. I knew about that one, because my parents got that deal. However, there was another one that came out later that included a room discount instead.

Hey kinggoofy...I thought all these years my dh was king of the goofs. I too am staying at the Poly again this year. my family will be in Fla. on the 5th but not going to the POly until the 19th. I also have the AAA package. Paying the same as you but got dining as well. I wish we were staying 11 nights without the dining instead of 7 with. Hope your trip is grand and maybe while I check in you check out I may notice the real King.

There were some AP discounts at the Poly in May 2007. We stayed from 05/28/2007-06/07/2007 (10 nights) in GVC at $432.85 per night plus tax = $482.63 per night.

My mother in law also had a GV room for same time at $286.55 per night plus tax = $319.50 per night.

My AP was used for both rooms. This was our first trip and we had a great time. The Poly is wonderful. I think I could ride the boat from the Poly to MK to GF and back to Poly over and over. I never get tired of looking at the 7 Seas Lagoon, monorail, CR, GF, Poly, Wedding Pavilion, etc. Might have been my favorite part of the trip.
