Were there any deals on APs last year?

I'm out of the loop on things with US/IOA. We've had APs in the past and got them for about $99 each. I see that the PowerPass is now $149 and the Preferred is $229. Did Universal have any sale on AP's last year? I'm just wondering (out loud) about whether or not I should wait to see if any sale/discount comes out. Our trip won't be until August. Any ideas?

I purchased an AP last year. At the time the deal was $199 for a preferred AP. The pass is good for 18 months instead of the traditional 12 months.

Last year was 1 1/2 years for the price of one year. We bought ours November 07 at 2 years for the price of one.

I was waiting around too to see if they would have any deals out on APs. I remember in 07 they had buy one year get get second year free and in 08 they had buy one year get six months free. I would think they would have already come out with AP deals if they were going to. Since they have this Season Pass, I am thinking that this is their ticket deal for the year. The Season Pass only goes until the end of the year so that is not really a deal to me. In the past, we thought our son was too young for us to use a Universal AP, but now that he is older, we would actually use it, but if they don't have any deals, we will probably pass on getting APs.

I don't think you will see any really good deals with Harry Potter openning next year.

Yup. We waited as long as we could. I think pass prices are just going to go up.

We also bought our during the BOGO in 2007. We will probably renew as they seems to be the best price lately. Hopefully the renewal will have a bonus at that time....!
