We're such a pathetic bunch..

Well - the kids just hooked up their travel trailer and drove away.. Their camping season is officially over now and as usual, it makes me so sad I just want to cry..

Knowing this was the last weekend they would be staying here, we were bound and determined to have a campfire last night - even though it was only in the 40's and raining.. Somehow my son-in-law got a fire going, we got on our winter coats and hats and sat out there in the rain until 2 o'clock this morning.. Now is that pathetic or what?

I'll hang in here for another two weeks and then barring any surprise Indian Summer, I'll head home the day before Halloween..

It's been a great season - good times, good weather, and wonderful people to share it with..

Home for the holidays and then off to Florida for the winter..

Life is good - even when you have to struggle through the not-so-good stuff..

That's not pathetic at all, it's sounds warm and homey . It does sound a little sad because you have to say goodby , but there is always next year . It sounds like you have some wonderful memories to get you through the winter and like you say the "not so good stuff".

I don't think that sounds pathetic at all. My sister and I have done the same thing. Sat outside in a drizzle with a bonfire. Probably wasn't as cold in East Texas as it was in your neck of the woods, though
