I know this probably a silly question but, has anyone had the problem of thier kids being board??? I have a 6 yro DD that has been to Disney soooo many time she keeps asking me about when do we get to go to the park on the ship??? She doesn't get that we are going to be on the ship for a week and we are not going to be going to any parks this time. I am afraid that she might get board with the kids club. Help!!!!

We have been on 5 Disney cruises. Our DD who is also 6 loves the club so much that she can't wait to get there. Once there she never wants to leave. She doesn't even want to do shore excursions with us.
I hope your child loves it as much as ours does.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I think you mean "bored" instead of board...typo?

Anyway, my kids were NEVER bored on the cruise. I even asked them if they ever ran out of things to do and they looked at me funny and said, "NO, NEVER!" Always had something to keep busy with and met lots of friends to just hang out and do nothing with also...2 are teens. Not sure about the kids club...my youngest went to the Oceaneers Lab but didn't stay all the time. He checked in w/ us often and did various activities w/ other friends he met. She will have a lot of fun once she realizes what it's all about!

Same here....it is the only time in all our vacation history that my kids have not uttered the those dreaded words...THERE IS NOTHING TO DO, WE'RE BORED!!!!

On our 7 DCL cruises we have never heard that!!!! That is why we keep going back. They are now 19, 18 and 15 and we have been sailing DCL for 5 years since literally Day 1 of DCL (we were on the Maiden Voyage).

We have our next cruise booked for 5/17 and we can't wait!

At the end of our cruise, I asked my boys 5, 7 and 9 if they liked trips to WDW or the cruise better. All 3 said they would rather go on a cruise than WDW. They have been to WDW every other year since they were born, and they are now asking us when the next cruise is, and haven't even mentioned WDW!

And no, they were never bored!

We just returned from the Magic..3/8 Eastern. Our DD - 6yo had a fantastic time! She was in the club almost the entire time that we were on board. We had to make her have dinner with us so that we could remember what she looked like! Be sure to do a couple of things....take pillowcases to guest services and they will have the characters sign them for you. We specifically took a princess pillowcase, got it signed and put it on our daughter's pillow while she was in the club. She actually thought that Cinderella and Snow White had stopped by to see her in our cabin while she was gone. She was soooo excited. Also, make sure you have an autograph book...we used a small scrapbook. Have a great time! :-)

Our two have never been bored. DS tended to find friends and hang out in the Lab. DD did some Club/Lab time but also loved just hanging at the pool, reading, etc.

Different personalities entirely but neither were ever bored. We gave them several options including parks, 7 day cruise, or combo. Both wanted the 7 day.
