Today we slept in till 7:45 or so. That's late for us. I made it a point to leave the curtains slightly open so that the sunshine would wake me up. I feel so sluggish if I oversleep and it's so easy to do when you keep those room darkening shades closed. I also hate waking to the phone (no matter whose cute little voice is on the other end) or an alarm clock.
We walked over to Tubbies in the Dolphin for breakfast. We can eat there for $8. We get a 20% discount with DCV and I always eat the child's breakfast. We got there about 8:30.
We caught a bus from the Dolphin to MK. BTW, we only waited longer than a few minutes one time this week for a bus. We were at MK by 9:30, and the crowds to get in were pretty long. We never carry a bag, so were able to walk right through security. Every time we've entered MK this whole vacation, there were so many characters around. All around the entrance around the flag pole and in front of City Hall and the Camera place. We did Buzz, Space Mtn, Haunted Mansion, Splash, and then went back to Space with a FP (the FP was unnecessary). We lunched at Cosmic Rays at 2:00 and it was a zoo. We took a table outside. I waited in line for about 10 minutes just to get fixin's on my hotdog. They only had one side open. The crowds seem to be picking up. Definately more people than have been here the last two years at this time.
From here we decided to head back to the Beach Club and swim at Stormalong Bay. I love this pool. We had to show our IDs, and got a bright orange wrist band. We swam for a couple hours and then headed back to the room for a nap and shower. We headed back to MK because they were having the fireworks tonight, but no Spectro. Arrived at 7:30 and browsed through a few shops.
Now, I am going to tell you something, and I don't want to get flamed. I didn't realize this was such a touchy subject until my return. However, we took a Monorail to the TTC and walked to the Poly, and got a hammock to watch the fireworks. There was hardly anyone on the beach, and many hammocks were empty. It was really romantic, and I enjoyed it (except for the mosquitos; I forgot my bug spray). When the fireworks were over, we walked back to the TTC and took a monorail to Epcot, sitting in the front. It was so cool to enter Epcot at night and see all the lights. This was on my list of things to do, and it did not disappoint.
We just walked through Epcot (I noticed the fountains were drained) and headed out the International Gateway. Believe it or not, we did not get a Kaki Gori on our way through.
Dinner was at Beaches and Cream where we split a hamburger. They brought it on two separate plates and gave each of us a ton of fries. Stephen to a vanilla malt to go.
We were back in our room by 10:00. A very relaxing and fun day.
