We're on our way, after a long night!

We are currently on I-75 South driving to Disney. We have 457 miles to go. I'm on my laptop while my wife is driving.

It's about 9am. We had planned on getting on the road between 5am and 6am, but my youngest had a breathing problem last night and I ended up in the hospital until 2am! We didn't get back to bed until 3:30am. Thankfully, he is fine. When the doctor was releasing him and asked if he wanted to go home, he said "No...I want to go to Disney World!" Thats my boy

I was planning on delaying the trip if necessary, but everyone got up and was ready to go (although DS2 and myself were pretty tired)

Hopefully that was the bump in our vacation and we will have lots of pixie dust for the rest of our trip!

Here's our Itinerary. looks crazy, but with DS2 being under the weather, we will be flexible and do what we can.

It is always so scarry when a child is ill. I'm glad he will be fine.

Since something always seems to go wrong in any event (wedding, party, vacation) I am always a little thankful when something goes wrong in the beginning.... that means the rest of the event is smooth sailing! Hope this holds true for you!

Tell you DS2... how do you spell relief? WDW!

I also subscribe to the logic of the poster above. If something major happens at the start of our vacation, we are usually clear for sailing. Hope all is well and have a safe, magical fun trip!

Thanks babar41....hopefully that will hold true for us....we got the drama out of the way first, and now it will be lots of fun for the next week!

Both kids are now watching the Disney Promo/Planning DVD (with Erin) and enjoying it. We now have 310 miles left.....Can't wait! We will go to bed early tonight so we can all have a magical time in MK tomorrow.

Now, let's hope we can wake up Tink tomorrow!

Well, we are here, all checked in, had a $48 counter service for free, and about to go to sleep. So far, all is going well....I think the Pixie Dust is with us!

Good job, dad. It makes me proud to see Dad's who are a big part (like hospital visits) of their children's lives.

I dont want to burst any bubbles, but the bond of parent and child is so very precious and unique... my ds was diagnosed with mono Friday!! We have 15 days!! (of course I'm more considered with the mouse that just peered out from under the printer stand darn thing is right next to the crawl space opening/area!)
