DAY 10
OK see everything written above for Day 9 …..that is what we actually did on Day 10! WHOOPS…just found my charge slips and noticed I mixed up our days! Hey stuff happens! (When one takes over a year to write a TR!)
So anyway turns out there was even more to the AK day. I remember that Winnie purchased a box of with Mr. Potato Head and Mr. PH parts and accessories….afterall what’s a potato without arms, legs and a camera?. I remember that because I have a credit card receipt for $19.17 from Chester & Hester!
Later Winnie and Tink went back to Community Hall at the Boardwalk and made something. I have no idea what, but it’s on my charge card so I know they made something wonderful.
Later we picked up Pizza and Sandwiches at the Spoodles Pizza window and the Boardwalk Bakery for dinner and then headed off for one last night at MGM. You see we apparently had a little bit of $$$$ left and we needed to part with it. I know we purchased more pins as well as more Mr. Potato head pieces, cause one box just wasn’t enough! (my kids do spend their own money on souvenirs/ They give me their cash before we go and I put charge privileges on there cards) , so if they want 2 boxes of Mr. PH that is ok with me!)
After MGM DH, TInk and Winnie walked back to the boardwalk while LizzY and I took the boatride back.
We met the Salz’s back at the pool and swam until the wee hours of the morning.
WE decided we’d all meet up the next morning to do something before we went home.
Day 9 – really this time is day 9.
Day 9 involved a lot of swimming ( well maybe, but who can really remember…I’m actually making that part up because it looks like we didn’t charge much back to the room that day so I guess we must have been in the pool. )
The receipts clearly indicate, however that we also spent time at EPCOT on day 9. I bet we had a really, really good time! Cause if we didn’t all of the whining and fights would have been emblazoned into my brain. Besides we show charges at Mousegears so I’m guessing that I bought something really , really good!
I know that one day at EPCOT we stayed for extra magic hours with the Salz’s but I think it was earlier in the week. The coolest thing was going to character connection, where we were the only people there, so we let the girls all take individual pictures with each character. This is a rarity. Usually the lines are long and we don’t want to hold things up so I make the girls take group photos. That night, tho, it was just us, so individual photos it was! LizzY had stayed outside with Uncle Salzy so she didn’t get the individual photo shoot.
Day 11
This is the sad day, the day we leave the muthaland to return to the Real World! This day was so incredibly hot! But that would not stop us! We still had to squeeze a bit more fun outta this vaca! I was the first one up for a change ! I made sure everything was packed other than the clothes that we were wearing home. Enjoyed a last bit of early morning Tara coffee on the balcony. I called NSalz to let them know we were going to walk over to play Fantasia Gardens mini golf and to invite them along. As we were talking we heard a huge BOOM! I thought it was another thunderstorm on the way and was bumming heavily about what we could do with our day when we had to check out by 11 and weren’t leaving until 1:00. Then NSalz said “WOW did ya just hear the space shuttle? It just took off.” I thought that was pretty cool, so we turned on the TV to watch the space shuttle for a few minutes.
Then we met the NSalz’s in the lobby and drove over to the minigolf course. It was just too hot to walk even tho it is fairly close. If you haven’t tried mini golf at WDW, you should do it. It’s not something that I would do every trip, but we’ll definitely do it once in awhile. The course provides many fun surprises. I won’t tell you what they are so as not to ruin it for your game, but I will say on a hot day, it was nice to be cooled off every now and then! Of course there was another surprise that I didn’t like too much. Somebody’s golf ball rolled under a bush and when DH went to get it, it was taking him awhile. He started to reach with his arm and then started poking around with his club. When I asked what was taking so long, he said “There is a snake coiled around the ball…well there is actually a pile of snakes under this bush!!!!!”
I thought we should just go get another ball, but he is Aggressive with golf ball retrieval as he is with his driving!”
After golf we all went back to the boardwalk and went to ESPN for lunch. DH, LizzY and I sat at a table with NSalz and DBIL. Winnie, Tink, TOTPrincess and Tot’s little sis sat at a separate table. They got some kind of video game to play at their table. Play station or something. That’s something new I learned. I didn’t know you could do that. You just give them your driver’s license to hold onto until the game is returned.
Then we gave lots of hugs and kisses and my family went off to the airport while the Salz’s went to play some more because they had a later flight.
We got to the airport and those incredibly severe thunderstorms started delaying our flight for about 2 ½ hours. We survived in the airport just fine! Made it home and then looked forward to our next trip!
Ok so that finishes up everything from our July 2006 vacation, but for those of you who have been so wonderful as to stick with me for the past year.....I will post bonus items within the next few days!!!!!

Bonus Feature #1
For those of you who are still with me, I know that you will all want to get together for your book club to discuss this Trip Report. I've noticed that at the end of novels these days the authors or editors of the book will often provide discussion points for the readers to discuss in their book clubs. This really annoys me. It's like the study guide for teachers that they get with textbooks. I'm thinking full grown adults pretty much can come up with things to discuss about a book, if they've actually taken the time to get together with some coffee and cake or some wine and cheese. For example all of the important questions would be covered....like "who should play the ead character in the movie?" The jacket cover says she lives in Upstate NY, do you think she lives by us, should we try to find her house? (Can ya tell I'm a very deep peep?) Apologies to all of you in book clubs, but I just don't get book clubs either.
I am an avid reader, but when I'm done with a book, I move on to the next book, rather than reading a chapter or two at a time and then discussing it with people before I move on.
BUt anyway, I digress. Bottom line is now that I am a world famous author who has completed her first autobiograhical writing (other than those stupid things we had to write about ourselves for back to school night in elementary and middle school) I know that I must go with the trend of all popular author the days and provide you with discussion points, so here goes:
1. What is it about the muthaland that makes the characters keep going back. There seems to be some sort of pull. We know it cannot be a secret ingrediant added to the Disney COffee because the Disney coffee stinks and noone drinks it. What could it be that causes the characters to part with their hard earned money to visit a large animated rodent who has come to life?
2. Despite DISUNC's claims that the Salz's paid for that fateful dinner in February 2006, who does the reader think really paid for that dinner?
3. If DH drives like this why doesn't PD112 take the advice of StinkerBellsmom and just not let him drive while she is in the car?
4. Why don't all AP holders buy the DDE card, when it is the best value in Disney?
5. When the movie version of this tale is epic novel is filmed, should the part of PD112 be played by Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman or Terry Hatcher?
6. Why oh why did WDW get rid of WHo wants to be a milionaire? What were they thinking?
7. Why don't they ever play first run movies at Sci Fi?
8. What is the reader's favorite country at world showcase and why?
9. What the heck is wrong with the author that she didn't take notes so that we wouldn't have to rely on her charge slips to figure out what she did? Does she think it's interesting to make the reader read that she does not have a clue what was done on certian days? Does she not realize that she is getting older and her memory is not what it used to be?
10. How about Catherine Zeta Jones or Susan Sarandon for the lead....Uma THurman perhaps?
11. Dinoland~ what's the point?
12. Do you think the author and NSalz will ever go back to the GF Spa? DO you think that they are allowed back in the GF Spa? Has anyone else been to the GF Spa in the past year .....is the shower working properly?
13. Given that the author thinks the mere thought of Sushi is disgusting, why is her favourite (the u is added for our Canadian and British friends) nail color "Suzi sells sushi by the seashore"?
14. Why can't the author afford to hire a CM to bring her chocolate croissants at home every morning?

That would be cool. Although DD(2 at the time) screamed the whole time we were in there in 2005. Turned out she was scared of the dark. DH & I took turns in the lobby with her while the other one ate.
