Hi all! I wanted to start this a day early, but you know how the day before vacation goes.....

Ok, we are here! Quick trip to CSR which was the first stop on ME. Check in was a shirt wait, however we did not get our requested area. We requested Cabanas and were told they were sold out. We got Casitas, and I was ok with it when she told us it was really close to El Centro. Well, it didn't seem too close on the walk here , I'll let you know if we took the long way after we walk back there. It's pouring right now, so we are heading over to the Pepper Market for some lunch.

So, the very leisurely walk to El Centro was 3 minutes 50 seconds. Not so bad. I have a beautiful view of the parking lot. Not where we really wanted to be, but I'm ok with it.

We went to the Pepper Market for some lunch. The food was very good. We went to MK after that. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes for the bus. MK was pretty crowded. We did the train, Tea Cups, Small World, Haunted Mansion, PC, Stitch, People Mover, Speedway, Buzz and I think that's it. Dd and Dh did SM and SM while dsil and I went shopping. We planned to stay for Wishes but it was POURING!!!! So we jumped on the bus for home. That's it-I'm pooped!!!!!

Following along.....There's no feeling like being on magical express knowing that your are going to the most magical place in the world:goodvibes

Bummer you couldn't watch wishes because of the rain. :sad2:

Hi all! It's day two here at CSR. We are off to AK for a bit, then later in the day we will head off to DHS for HBD FDP. We are really looking forward to that. It's something we try to do each year. We love the food at HBD and love to watch the show.

The weather is partly sunny with the normal chance of rain at this time of year.

Some thoughts so far at CSR: It's beautiful here, no doubt. I am not crazy about Casitas, but I'm still happy to be here at the World.

It's really not a long walk to El Centro, but the surroundings are different for me. I don't really care for the set up at Cafe Rix, but again, I can live with it. I guess I'm just homesick for Poly. I'm not whining or complaining, just sharing reflections. Oh! In Casitas, you get no cell phone reception whatsoever. I don't know if it's environmental or Verizon, but I had to walk about 10 to 15 feet outside my room in my pajamas to talk on the phone. That stinks! Oh well.

So, overall, glad we tried it, and grateful we are at the World. Would I stay here again if we couldn't afford Poly? Probably.

Bus is arriving at AK now, back later!

Thank you

I'm enjoying your report so far; love all the details. We stayed at CSR once, and though it's a beautiful resort, found it to be full of conventioneers. Maybe that's why it's so full for your stay. For the record, we did stay in the Cabanas section, but also had a parking lot view. Nothing magical about that, but oh well. Glad you're having a good trip so far; hoping the rain stays away - good luck!

Ok, the most GINORMOUS Brazilian Tour Group I have ever seen is in line with me for the Safari. There are literally 60 to 70 in the group! They all have the same shirt in, which begs the question, where did they find that many of the same shirt????? They sound like a high school band or choir when they sing (loudly) because there are so many of them!!!

AK was PACKED today. So much for a crowd level 2....... We did all the must-do's as Stacy likes to say. We were ready for a quick rest at our room, so after EE, KS, ITTBAB, PW, Dinosaur, (I think that's it), we left. Took a quick 30 min power nap and we're refreshed. We are off to DHS. Weather is mostly cloudy and around 88, but the radar looks pretty good.

DHS was not too bad last night. We did HBD for dinner which was fabulous as usual. We had just enough time to do ToT twice (my fav) and then Fantasmic. It was PACKED!!! Filled to capacity!

This morning we are going Parasailing then off to Epcot. I'll report later!

Love the trip report as we'll be there in at CSR in two weeks ourselves but didn't need to hear that! (or the BTG) Are you using TP for your crowd planning?

We were, but maybe not so much anymore..... It's been very off in my opinion. Not too pleased with that...

Loving your report. I've always wanted to try CSR but I'm afraid we wouldn't get a room close to the amenities.

Hello! Thanks for letting us go on vacation with you!
Brazil groups in August?:duck: I thought they only came in July and Dec/Jan. hm...
Sounds like you are having a great time. What are you doing now?! Don't leave us in the dark! Lol!:yay:

I'm following your report and of course I LOVE Safari Eeyore!!!

We too missed the Poly when we were at CSR...but we had a great stay at CSR. We requested Cabanas and got it, but we wished we were in Casitas, as it looked so much nicer. We learned that if we ever book a Mod again, we will pay the fee to upgrade to water view. We don't like the parking lot views (we didn't have one, but spent enough time walking to and from the bus stops that we saw what it would be like)!

How did you enjoy the parasailing?

Thanks one and all for joining in. I stopped for a bit because I didn't think anyone was reading. Silly me.

Parasailing was amazing!!!!! Dh surprised me, as we are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and we have never done it in all our years of coming here.

I kind of forgot where I was so I will try to back track. Epcot was great, not crowded at all. We rode Soarin twice, MS, Nemo, etc. It was a good time. We had a 7:50 ADR at R&C and were seated as requested outside to view Illuminations. We always have to laugh at the number of people who just wander in at 8:45 and think they can just sit down and watch. One lady left her kid on the terrace while she yelled at the greeter for not allowing her to sit down without an ADR.

Back in a minute.....

Ok, I'm back! Yesterday we were just pooped, so we hung back at the hotel and swam. Dd9 loved the pool and slide. We had a 1:00 ADR at T-Rex (a new one for us). It was really fun! Food was great and dd got to break open a geode in the gift shop. We did some shopping at DTD (dd picked a pearl from an oyster) and we did BBB as well. Back to the hotel for dinner and an early night to sleep as we had an 8:10 am ADR at O'hana this morning.

Wr left the hotel room at 7:02 and got to Poly at 8:00. I thought that was pretty good transportation time. O'hana was fun as usual. We strolled around the grounds for a few minutes (we miss it so much) then off to Typhoon Lagoon.

Right now we are on the bus home. TL was great fun!! Did all the slides, swam with the sharks twice!!! How amazing was that??? Lots of firsts for us this year. We are going to shower and try to get into the nicer restaurant (forgot the name) for dinner.

Tomorrow up early for rope drop at DHS. Back soon!!!
