Hi all. A lot of people were asking before I left about the park crowds this time of year. We found that the parks were not very crowded this last week.

We did the EMH park on Thurs, Fri and Sat. (MK, AK, MGM) We never felt that the park got crowded enough to park hop. We stayed at each from 8:00 am until about 4:00 pm. We never hit a line that was longer than 20 minutes. Most rides were less than 5. However, we made good use of our fastpasses and hit the most popular rides early.

MK was probably the most crowed. AK was not crowded at all. We didn't wait for anything there all day. Since we did MGM on Saturday, it was a little more crowded. We got there, went straight for Star Tours, rode it 3 times in a row with very little pause. We then went to Indiana Jones (the outside two sections were completely empty). We then walked straight into Muppets 3-D, no wait. It didn't fill up either. The only line we saw before noon was at Sci-Fi Diner. Luckily, I had made a PS! :-) We saw Beauty and the Beast at 2:30 and it didn't fill all the way up.

We did EPCOT on Sunday. It was the least crowded. We went straight to Test Track. The sign said 20 minutes, so I grabbed a fast pass and we stood in line. It took us less than 10 minutes. So we went again! And again! We went and played at Mission Space. It had a 5 minute wait. I walked right on as a single rider. I was testing it out for DH, DS and DS. I enjoyed it. However, I will add one thing to what everyone else was saying. I had a little trouble focusing on the screen. I believe it is because of my glasses. My eyes were really watering and wanting to cross at times. My stomach didn't bother me at all. However, I am not prone to motion sickness. DH and one DS went on it later. They are prone to motion sickness. DS thought it was the best thing ever. DH really enjoyed it, but it gave him some trouble. He said that he was fine, but he knew if he did it again he would be sick.

Hope this is useful. I'd be happy to answer questions if you have them.

Thanks for the report. We are leaving Wednesday and will hit the parks on Thursday.

One quick question..how old is your son? Do you think a 6 1/2 year old will be able to manage the ride Mission Space?

Thanks

My then 5 year old enjoyed Mission Space as well. She was over the height requirement, and she liked it.

My 8 year old then loved it as well.

My sons are 8. Chase went on and loved it. Drew would not go on. Chase has some problem with motion sickness. However, it is not really bad. He absolutely hated the Tea Cups. (though he didn't get physically sick) He had no problem at all with Mission Space. He even said it was his favorite ride. If this helps, he rode Space Mountain and didn't really like it. He had no desire to go on RnR or ToT. He loved Test Track and Star Tours. I wish I could tell you whether your child will like it or not. I don't think it is particularly scary. I think that if you can trust him to keep looking at the screen even if he doesn't want to, that he'll be ok. They warn that if you close your eyes or look away, that it can disorient you. You won't really be able to see him during the ride. However, he will be right next to you. Hope this helps.
