were is the original Transit Authority

If I'm confusing these rides I know the people mover you go up on a ramp to enter self loading rides..so what is the name of the ride where you enter the building to get into the cars that go through the tunnel..they had both in 2009.

If it is shaped like a car, maybe that is Rockin Roller Coaster...it's not even at MK.

2009 trip in October..talked to the person I traveled with and they remembered it too. We went into a building not up the ramp that is called the Transit Authority now.. that use to be called the WED people mover.
It does a little drop but goes pretty fast and you can hear people in SM screaming at one point.

Yep, you are totally confused and thinking of something that doesn't exist.

Only 2 rides allow you to hear the screams of people on Space Mountain:
Space Mountain
Tommorowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

The PeopleMover was known as the WEDWay PeopleMover from 1975 until 1994 when it was renamed the Tommorowland Transit Authority. They added PeopleMover back to the name in 2010 to get the current name of Tommorowland Transit Authority PeopleMover .

While both the narration and some of the sights along the track have changed over the year, the track itself has never changed since it opened in 1975. It has always been accessed from the 2nd level of Rocket Tower Plaza by way of the moving walkway ramp.

Are you thinking of Buzz Lightyear? Or Space Mountain?

You are confusing rides or thinking of another park. No tomorrowland ride has closed after 2009 and no current ride does what you are describing

As others have said, the WEDWay Peoplemover and the TTA is one and the same. There used to be skybuckets across the park as well, from atop the bathrooms in Tomorrow Land to the end it the entrance to Liberty Square.

There was also the Eastern Airlines If You Had Wings was sponsored by Eastern Airlines, followed by Eastern Airlines If You Could Fly. This was followed by Delta Airlines Dream Flight and it later became Disney's Take Flight. This was later replaced by Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. The ride is the same for all except for the fact with Buzz they changed the cars you ride in and made it interactive rather than a sit and ride enjoy the A/C type ride.

I appreciate everyone trying to help...The ramp to the people mover is totally different then the ride where you had to enter a building and it would get pretty full on rainy days..was airconditioned..it seemed like a futuristic ride but different then the people mover..I've zoomed in on the MK map on the Disney site and can't find it so that is why I'm asking. IT IS NOT SPACE MT since I can't handle drops. Thanks for that pic. since I've never been inside it. It isn't DL either since I only went once back in the 70's.
I've ridden both of these rides in 2006 and 2009.

I'm enjoying the puzzle. If you think of other things about it please share.

I've ridden both of these rides in 2006 and 2009.

Is it the rollercoaster inside the Epcot ball? I haven't done that in forever but I know it's inside. You can hear screams but not from folks on space. =)

I wrote a trip report back in 2006 upon our return..I found my travel journal where I wrote in detail what we did each day.

We loved that ride and would run around to get in line again. Sometimes that building would be practically empty so we could get on the ride again quickly.

But you didn't write down the name of the attraction? :confused3

Is it possible that maybe you are mixing up parks? I think you have a pretty goo grasp on People Mover and we have determined that is what you were on when you heard the screams from Space Mountain. But I'm struggling to determine which ride you get on after entering a building, face forward, and go through a tunnel. My first thought was Spaceship Earth. You definitely enter a building (the ball), everyone faces forward, and you go up a hill through a tunnel. But, there's no little drop. The other rides in Tomorrowland besides Space Mountain and People Mover are Astro Orbiter (very high up in the air and you said the ride you remember wasn't in the air), Carousel of Progress (more of a show than a ride, but you do travel in a circle in the theater), Space Ranger Spin (no drop that I remember, like an arcade game, and you will spin around), Stitch's Great Escape (no cars, no drops, no tunnels), and Tomorrowland Speedway (you ride in cars, are outside, but no drops and I can't see mixing this up with People Moiver). Do you think it's possible it was at another park? Or maybe not in Tomorrowland?

I was thinking if Spaceship Earth. No not a coaster like RnRC, SM or BtMrr but a ride none the less. What I remember about this ride is it moves super slow, you are in some type of car thing. It must not have been very good as I don't even remember what you looked at along the way.
