We're in Disney World STOP FIGHTING! Updated 9/14 [PTR Link]

UPDATE!
So, we were seated at our table and our waiter got us our drinks. Then we were free to go and try all the African dishes.

Here are some of the foods we tried:

(Do you see the rice? That's the famour Couscous that my dad and DB's adore)

And dessert...
IMG_3506.jpg

I LOVED those little cups filled with chocolate with the brown and white striped chocolate straw on it. I had like 20 of them they were sooo good!

(It looks like a SMILEY FACE!)

Boma was okay. It was nothing special. The best thing about it was the couscous and the chocolate cups for dessert.

After dinner we decided to go play miniature golf, Winter/Summer land. Well, it was pretty late but we got on a bus anyways and the bus driver told us that if we went to Winter Summer land the only way we could get back to the Poly was by a cab. Which, we were not doing. So he told us we could go to the Fantasmic one that's across the street from the Swan and Dolphin. So we went there. The CM bus driver was really nice and helpful, we were lucky we got a nice bus driver.

So we stopped in the Swan for a restroom break... here is my DB's and I infront of the Swan waterfountain:
IMG_3512.jpg

Then we crossed the street and went to the minigolf place. There were two different courses. The garden and a different one. I wanted to do the garden course but that wait was 15 minutes while the other one was only 10 minutes. So we did the other one. Boo. After 10 minutes we started and WHOA. You had to be a professional golfer to even get close to a hole in one! I think once I got it in after two hits and so did Jonathan, but that was it. That course was literally the hardest one in the history of courses. We lost our golfballs a few times but found different ones along the way. It wasn't all that great. I wouldn't want to do it again.
Here are a few shots:

(Do you see what shoes I'm wearing??? My Rainbow flip-flops. I couldn't handle my shoes rubbing up against my feet any longer, plus I wanted my blisters to BREATHE instead of being uder 6 bandaids all day long)

IMG_3520.jpg

After we finished all 18 holes we went back to the main desk and we got free golf balls with Grumpy on them :]
Then we walked back to the Swan and got on a bus. Our first bus driver had told us that once we got on a bus to go back we'd have to be dropped off at the MK and would have to take the monorail back to the Poly. Because if you're a MK bus you go back to the MK an hour after MK closes. So once we got on the bus (we were the only ones on) the bus driver told us "You know MK closes right now" we told him we knew. Then we realized that EVERYBODY would be boarding the monorail at the moment because MK JUST closed. We told the CM bus driver we were staying at the Poly and we told him about our mini golfing experience. He told us that he and his wife couldn't do the golf course we had just done either. So he knew how we felt. Before I knew it we had pulled up infront of the Poly. The bus driver told us "Since you couldn't master that course either, I'll drop you off here. I don't want you guys to have to wait for an hour to get on the monorail." So we got off the bus after thanking the CM a thousand times :]

This trip we had INSANELY good luck with Bus drivers! Our first one skipped Blizzard Beach and took us straight to AK. Then our Bus driver took us to the Swan and told us all the information we would need to get back to the Poly. Then our next Bus driver took us straight to the Poly instead of the MK. We were totally lucky!

So we headed back to our room and that was the end of day 7 :]

Up next:
The people who wake up early and the DB with a stomach ache

That was such a good update Sara. The boys wanted to play but we just never seemed to find the time. That is why you go back.

I had a feeling that bus driver was going to take you to the Poly. How sweet!!!! You did get lucky with the driver's on this trip. They really do help with the whole experience, don't they? Especially if you get good ones.

Yes, I noticed the flip flops. Good for you and your blisters.

Yeah, they really did :]

LOL, my blisters felt a lot better with the flip flops on :goodvibes

Love the update! I didn't know there was a WDW mini golf place! Disney World really does have everything! It looked like you had a lot of fun though. And I like your flip flops! Very cute!:goodvibes

Thanks! Yeah, I think they have around 4 minigolf courses and then of course the 'pro courses' They really do think of everything, dont they?

It sounds like you guys had a great time, to bad your TR is coming to a end, Booo. Your towel human is too :cutie:

Wow all your towel animals are fantastic, you're so lucky!

Sorry about the ceiling in your room at least they were quick to fix it :thumbsup2

That mini golf course is hard isn't it :rotfl2: My family are golfers, DH is a Pro, and that's actually our favourite but it is hard!!!

We were filled with luck during our stay :] Lucky us!

They were pretty quick when it came to fixing our ceiling.

Yeah, it was pretty fun, but SO SO SO SO hard!

Crystal Palace :]

Rating (1-10):
Dad: 8
Mom: 8
Me: 8.5
DB11: 8
DB9: 7

Comments:
Me: I love Tigger!
DB9: Could care less about characters
Mom: Likes Piglet :]

Pros:
-Good characters
-Buffet :]
-Good service
-Nice location
-Our tables was in a good location

Cons:
-Food was alright
-nothing special that made it 'different'
-CROWDED
-Long wait

Ending Statement:
We had arrived early and had to wait a while to get in because it was SO crowded. We had a good time and I liked the characters (Tigger!). I would totally recommend CP, especially to people who have toddlers/younger children. I did enjoy that it is in MK, and in a prime location!

Yes, CP was great b/c you could see the castle while you waited on the porch to be let in. It was super crowded for breakfast! And it seemed to take forever once inside: waiting in line for the buffet, waiting for the characters. The parade in the middle kind of puts a halt on the character meet & greet, making your meal take even longer.

BUT, it was a lot of fun! All I can say about CP is, if you're going, plan to stay awhile!!!! :goodvibes

Yeah, it was a verrrry long meal. I agree, you have to have a lot of time open if you eat at CP because there is no way you are getting out of there in less than an hour I'd say.

Better late than never! I found your report and read the whole way through! It is interesting to see it through your point of view since I have a son around your age! Looking forward to more!

Magic Kingdom time!

As you know, the monorails were broken down for a day or so because of a crash. My aunt had called us on our drive down and told us about the crash. Luckily, the monorail was back up and running the day we got there. But it wasnt up until the afternoon.

So that morning we took the boat to Magic Kingdom

Here are the pictures I took from the boat

one of the buildings at the Poly
IMG_2971.jpg

the Contemporary
IMG_2972.jpg

The Grand Floridian

We got off the boat and entered Magic Kingdom (after all the check-in and bags being checked of course!) and saw this

IMG_2974.jpg

IMG_2976.jpg

IMG_2977.jpg

What a MAGICAL castle! :] I think everything's Magical- dont I?

We decided to go get Fast Passes for Jungle Cruise. So my dad went and got them and my mom, my brothers, and I waited by the remote-control boats!
IMG_2983.jpg

Now, here's why the title says what it says...
The first ride we ride EVERYTIME we go to WDW is Pirates of the Caribbean!
IMG_2988.jpg

(It's too dark, but hey, NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY!)
And incase you're wondering... I took 80% of the photos you will see on this TR, but when I'm in the photo, that means my mom took it :]

So, we rode POTC and headed over to Jungle Cruise to use our Fast Passes. We got right on!
We decided to get Fast Passes for Big Thunder Mt. Railroad, a favorite of our family.

So while waiting for the time to use our FPs we went to get some lunch at Pecos Bill!

Joel got the kids hamburger and a cookie
IMG_2993.jpg

I got a chicken salad
IMG_2994.jpg

(just a little FYI, I ate a salad for lunch almost everyday. I wanted to experience them all!)
My mom and dad split a cheeseburger
IMG_2995.jpg

Jonathan just had a coke, he wasnt hungrey.
We all had carrot cake for dessert (except Joel who had a cookie)

After lunch we still had some time before our FPs so we rode a favorite of my dads, Haunted Mansion!
Then it was time to ride BTMR!

Our Dinner reservations that night were at 'Ohana, which is at our Resort. So we went back to the Poly. Which, we got to ride the monorail to, just the resort monorail was running, but later on that day all of the monorails were working!

We had a while until our reservations, so we got our bathing suits on and hit the pool! Except me... I hate pools, mainly when they are over-crowded, then I wont even think of going in! But I do believe I went in right by the 0-enrty part of the pool. I think I was the only one in my family who DIDNT go down the awesome slide there :[ Oh well, I really had no desire.

So my brothers went swimming and my dad went to the pool-bar thing (I forgot what they call it- but you go to the bar without shoes on, because its next to the pool). He brought back a drink for my mom and him to share (I forgot its actual name)
IMG_3009.jpg

(I ate the pineapple! Yummy!)

Here's me reading an article in a magazine about Michael Jackson
IMG_3010.jpg

My mom and I then went to Captain Cooks to go get our mugs! (Mine is the red one) I love these mugs, they are WAY better than our old ones, our old ones were blue, and the ones after that were okay, but I think these are the best!
IMG_3013.jpg

Something nice about the Poly that we didnt get when we stayed at the Contemporary was that the lifeguards interacted a lot more! When we were there that day the lifeguards organized a game of dodgeball, which I knew wasnt going to end well.

But here's my brothers playing (I never participated in any of the games)
IMG_3018.jpg

So now it was time to go to 'Ohana! We went back to the room, got changed and went over the Great Ceremonial House and found our way to 'Ohana!

We checked in at the desk about 10 minutes early. We waited about 15 minutes to get in. So my parents shared a drink= Captain's Mai Tai
IMG_3028.jpg

(I wanted to eat the orange, but it was drenched in the drink, which my parents said was VERY strong...)

My mom and I shared a seat since the waiting area was FILLED with people... waiting!
IMG_3029.jpg

Eventually some people left and we all got our own seats. That's when I decided to take a picture of my MAGICAL pin!
IMG_3037-1.jpg

I love that pin! I wore it all the time, even though I really wasnt celebrating anything big... I said I was celebrating my... 7th visit to WDW (which to some of you reading probably sounds like 2 times :] )

So we were seated- finally, but it was well worth the wait- let me tell you!
Our 'cousin' was awesome- really nice! We sat towards the back, by a window.

We got our bread- yum!!!! My mom told us we could only have one peice, she wanted us to eat our dinner... Dont worry mom, we did!
IMG_3038.jpg

Next came the salad- YUMMM! The dressing was to die for! Best Salad EVER!
IMG_3040.jpg

Next our 'cousin' brought us dumplings and chicken wings.

IMG_3042.jpg

The dumplings were good, not amazing, but good

IMG_3043.jpg

The chicken wings were great! Very very good!

Our 'cousin' also brought us dipping sauces, they were all okay.
IMG_3041.jpg

Continued on next post due to amount of pictures!
