We're in a dilema

Trying to make the most of pts use. Heres where we stand: we have a trip planned for Mar at OKW in a studio. My parents might come down for a few days. We didnt know at ressie time that my parents would go, in fact after we commando toured thier 1st trip, we knew they would never go back. We want to get them a studio also. Is it too late for that?

Next we have a trip planned at VWL in Oct. Having to use 54 borrowed pts. to stay in a 1 bed. Now it makes the most sense to rebook that Oct trip for a studio. We would regain 153?? pts and not be in a complete shambles with pts.

Does any of this sound familar with anyone or are we just poor planners. Be honest, I can take it. I am dreading calling MS to make these changes. Still havent decided completely to do this yet. Let me know what you think.

LOL, Im in the same boat! I haven't quite decided where to stay for MH and have tried to work with what I have available.

Today I called and made another change to my May 04 ressie and asked MS if they could hold off on sending me the confirmation until I had more time to weigh all my options.

The CM said that would be no problem, and gave me the ressie number for the ressie I made today, but told me I could call back and request my mailed confirmation when I was ready. She was very friendly and accomodating.

Having family join you sounds like fun, and getting smaller accomodations to save points makes sense to me. People change plans all of the time, we bought an add on, and I had to change reservations to utilize the add on points and not the BWV points, which we would be needed for an 11 month reservation. MS was very accomodating.

Plans change for all of us.

Your "new" plan sounds like a good way out, but remember the borrowed points can NOT be returned to their original year. So if you do a stu at VWL in Oct, and save on points. Be sure to have MS use those borrowed points first when you modify the Mar trip where family is coming along.

You can then bank any unused current year points. Again, just keep an eye on the banking windows.

I called MS today. Even though we didnt make the changes today, they were very helpful in seeing if the accomodations were available for both trips. Fortunately both things we needed are available so we will probably book tommorow. My Dad seemed to want to talk about it today and he seemed to think that coming a day sooner made most sense. SWA has a special offer for travel on certain days. A difference of $44 one way per ticket, Wed. vs. Thurs. Hopefully everything is falling into place. Thanks for the insight everybody, helps to calm my nerves.
