Well we landed back in manchester this morning after the most wonderful trip!
I really cannot think of any lows of the trip (apart from perhaps the number of bug bites I received!)

We absolutely adored SSR & really liked our location in the springs section being half way between both the paddock & high rock springs pools. The resort was beautiful & so peaceful. I think it will definitely become our resort of choice as we particularly liked being able to walk or take the boat to DTD.

Our experience with magic bands & fp+ was brilliant. It was especially good being able to stand outside dumbo when there was a wait of 30 mins & be able to get a fp for 5 mins time! Also great when DD decided whilst at downtown that she just had to ride the barnstormer - sat on the bus planning out our late afternoon schedule!

We were on the ddp this time so we're able to experience a lot more in terms of table service meals. I had planned quite a heavy schedule but realised early in the trip that we'd perhaps have to rethink some of the tea-time ressies. My cali grill ressie went in favour of a Akershus lunch that appeared mid-way through the trip & our DD definitely enjoyed this more! She even got to lead the parade holding ariels hand. We had a lovely meal at BOG & thought the theming was beautiful. DD enjoyed the character breakfasts at H&V & o'hana. (Think I might need to do a separate review of the dining as we seemed to eat so much food).

Anyways - we had an absolutely awesome time & I was thankful for all my planning. We saw Anna & Elsa in 5 minutes with our fp+ when the queue outside said 300 minutes. We also got 3 rides on the mine train on which we learnt that DD really loves rollercoasters!

As DD is only 3 she wasn't tall enough for the mountains in MK or the big rides at the other parks which unfortunately for us means that we will have to return for her to ride them ?de09 It's a long way off but 2019 here we come!!

Glad that FP+ worked out for you. I honestly think that many of the complaints about them come from those people who haven't even used them.

Sounds like a fabulous trip :)

I am sure you are correct Joh. I hate change and dislike new technology, its just the thoughts of it all plus not really understanding it. Once we are there I might change my mind about it all.

I'm exactly the same - don't cope well with change and don't like to be out of my comfort zone. I managed though - and so will you ;)

Glad you had a great time - welcome back. Sounds like a fab trip :cool1:.

Suspect you are right about the FP+ Joh - I know I've whinged about it and haven't used it yet. I too may be eating my words. I know people used it at Christmas so a very busy time, but as it wasn't totally rolled out at that time e.g. to offsite etc, so I am unsure how it will work going forward at very, very busy times. Hopefully it will be OK ::yes::.

I will be interested to see how it pans out this summer.

I have had to learn with change as my boss likes to keep us out of our comfort zones :rotfl:

Having used FP + twice now it works a lot better in reality than it sounds like it is going to - just get. Matt to sort it out for you :lmao:

Yey for FP+ and to a fab holiday! Looking forward to hearing more about the food... nom nom nom!

It worked fine for Easter week which is generally busier than summer - I have no worries about it at all now.
