Well, we got home okay. My sister and brother-in-law didn't want to claim us at the airport, however. I was still wearing my tiara, and Katelyn was still wearing her "Christmas Mickey dealy-boppers" (what ARE those things called, anyway??). I guess we'll have to go back to real life now, and our heads will have to be naked! But, it really helped keeping an eye on her in the airport! HAHA
The trip was WONDERFUL, but now for the not-so-wonderful.
I came home to a sick son. Many of you know I left my 16 year old DS, Jared, home. He's got a bad cold, and was laying on the couch with a cold rag on his eyes, saying they burned and itched. I gave him some medicine and hope he's okay for school tomorrow!!
I was having problems with my job before I left. I'll find out when I go to work tomorrow if I will be keeping my job of 16 years, or not.
My DH, Kevin, had to leave for a 2 month trip to Iceland yesterday! So, we had to say goodby before going to DIS-Con. I debated about going. I wasn't sure about leaving Jared with his Dad having to leave for an extended trip at the same time. I was worried that I wouldn't have fun because of worrying about my job, leaving Jared, Jared being upset at the fact that I took Katelyn and not him, Kevin leaving while we were gone, etc. etc. etc. But, Kevin knew how excited I was about surprising Katelyn with this trip, and talked me into doing it for her sake, if not for mine. I was determined to give her a fun-filled, surprising, memorable trip! I am so pleased to announce that I never thought of my job situation ONCE, Jared was totally accepting of my decision that he couldn't miss school and go with us, Kevin got off okay on his trip, Jared did fine for the 1 1/2 days he had to stay alone, and I had a GREAT time!!!!!
It was SO GREAT MEETING ALL OF YOU!!!
And I want to thank each and every one of you for helping me make this a most fun and memorable trip for Katelyn, and me too!!!
