we're finally back in the World after a full year of withdrawal

we were delayed at our point of origin ( cdg) due to fog and we had to sit on the tarmac at the gate for 90 minutes
we arrived 90 minutes late at charlotte but we had 3h50min layover so it was all for the best

we managed to grab a burger at BK and we were at the gate in terminal B with 20 minutes to spare

touched down in mco on time at 7:50pm

us airways was good as ever

we had to wait a good 15 minutes for the bags to start showing up on the carousel

we collected the car from alamo. long line but moved fast
the rep started to show me the car category shheet, I told him ''I only want the tank of gas'' and he didn't even bother with the hardsell

collected a brand new impala LT (fullsize) with 125 miles on the odometer ... brand new
only disappointment, they no longer give the remote control for the doors. that used to be quite handy

we arrove at AoA at 9:00pm, CM there was great
no suites available for upgrade the resort is packed
we just showered, changed for a bathing suit and went for a swim in the little mermaid pool for half an hour
90 degrees at 9:30pm you just can't say no to a swimming pool

went for a bite at landscape of flavors, and had a salmon sandwich each, chicken drumstick for DS

bought DS a new duffy bear (big with goofy outfit) and headd back for bed
turned in at midnight

it's now silly o clock and I'm up. DS and DW are still snoring, that's a first for 5am

this concludes my ''not a tr trippie'' as I'll try to stay off the internet for the next 25 days

we're staying 2 more nights here at aoa LM then we move for 3 weeks at POR on the DDP

Sounds fab! I really hope it stays that hot For when we arrive in 10 days!
We loved the Little mermaid Pool as it heated much hotter than the other two, in fact it's hotter than any pool I've been in at Disney.

Glad to hear it all turned out well on the journey in spite of the delay. There have been a few threads this week about AoA and POP being 'overbooked' (I used quotes for that because I'm not clear if they really were or if it was incorrect terminology) but needless to say, sounds like October's secret is out

You didn't do too badly getting to your resort in an hour and 10 from touch down! Rather impressive!

How many parties are you doing this year? I remember you joined us with a tripple whammy last year, lol

thiw year we decided to go easy on the candy, so that will be only 2 MNSSHPs, first on tomorrow night (20th)
but we're on a very strict non-diet so we added a few cookies to the mix and this means 1 MVMCP


today I managed to break my magic band and apprently managed to break my whole MDE account, lol ... so whatever you do, even if you totally wipeout like I did this morning, do not let that band hit the ground

what ? you wanna know about the wipeout ?

well.... ok ...

we were just back from a Perkins breakfast at crossroads, and we were in the parking lot in front of our LM building
I opened the trunk, got the stroller out, then inquired with DW as to know how you unfold that darn thing ... I'm a guy, forgive my ignorance ...
so I followed the instructions gi en by my beloved wife and put one foot on the rear axle and began to push ... hard ... until that chariot from hell started a rebellion of it's own .... somehow during the fight, I lost my footing and fell, face and arm first (well, magic band first...)
no harm except to my pride and to the late magicband ...
please don't laugh

And complete with pics!! That Splash Mountain pic is so cute! At least there is PP+ to bail you out of all those pricey pics we used to have to pay for! I spent more than I wanted to in previous years and still felt bad about all the ones I left behind.

Have you recovered from your stroller attack? You commonly hear about these man-eating strollers in the parks (witnessed a few first hand too) but it's usually someone else's nipping at your ankles lol.

Great costumes! How did you find the crowds at the party?

Oh and what other big rides is your DS trying out/has he tried out? Do you think you have a coaster junkie in the making?

@Lee : Stroller problem solved ... I leave it to DW and it better behave

parties are slightly busier than they were last year but not sold out and manageable

@Samantha : first party (oct 20th) DS fell asleep soon after hallowishes and we left by 10:30

second party he was a brave soldier and we exited the park very shortly before the end to beat the crowds
we boarded the POR bus at 12:10 precisely
it rained alittle by 9pm but it didn't empty the park

for both parties rides were walk on except for haunted mansion which strangely had a line going all the way down to the boat dock at liberty square. we gave it a miss
we had potc for ourselves at 11:30
jack sparrow took us 15 minutes total
