I'm so excited to be camping at Disney! Can you share any tips or advice with me? We will be taking out PUP down (from MI) and I'm thinking of grocery shopping once we get there. I'm curious about clothing though, should I just pack enough for the entire week for 5 of us, or just plan on doing some laundry to save some room and towing weight? We'll be heading down the last week in April.

Hello fellow Michigander :) :) We are going down for the first time ourselves in 27 days !! WHoo hoo :cool1: I think I would bring your staple groceries with you and only shop for refrigerated items. I think I read that even at the grocery store the food will cost a little more. There are also 5 of us and I am planning on doing laundry in the middle of our stay just so we aren't cramming too many clothes in the drawers. I want to bring some sweatshirts in case it gets chilly at night. We are stopping for two nights each on the way down there and back and we will need warmer clothes those nights as well. I read here that it costs $4.00 a load to wash and dry. I am going to bring my own detergent. I hope you have a great trip !!

They do have grocery stores down there with low prices just like everywhere else (Publix, Wal Mart, etc.). You do need to drive off site a few miles to get to them. The stores in the campground are good if you need something quick and don't mind paying the price. I usually just make a trip to the Publix after I set up my PUP so I don't need to worry about storage, damage or keeping things on ice in a cooler during transit.

Do you mind me asking where you are staying on the way down/up? I'm not sure where we should stay. I know there are tons of campgrounds off of 75, but I don't want to randomly pick one.

We only have 10 nights for the trip and we want to get there early the first day at FW so we can enjoy that day too. So we are doing two long days there and just a couple of hours that last morning. We are staying in Lake City, TN (night 1), Lake City, FL (night 2) six nights at FW and then Perry, GA (night 9) and Frankfort, KY (night 10) on the way back home. I'd be happy to PM you since we are going before you and let you know about those other CG's when we get back home. They all have websites and decent reviews on RVparkreviews.com. I was just looking for overnight places with full hookups and pull throughs if possible. I didn't care about recreation, pools, etc.

My dh just told me he plans on doing the drive in 1 day! :confused3 We've driven there before, so I don't know what he's thinking.
