We're Going To Try To Stay Until December 15

Air Tran has consistantly changed our flight by 5 minutes on our departure day. So, I'm going to see if we can change with no fee, and we are going to try to add one more day to our vacation. Wish me luck with Air Tran.

They should do it for you. When they release the Friday activities for the DIS, I called Air Tran the next time they bumped my flights by 5 minutes and they were more than willing to do this. So if the first person you get says no call back in and try again. It worked for me.

awesome Nicole- we tried that with AA, but didn't fly. they changed our outbound flight by 2 hours earlier, so we were able to change it to a later flight instead.

our inbound flight changed by 10 minutes (earlier!)though and they wouldn't let us change it at all. We were trying to get out a bit earlier. AA said it has to change by more than an hour for them to change it for you for free. stupid AA!! i need to start booking with other airlines, but AA is so big here.

We tried that a few months ago with Airtran when they had changed our flight by 2 minutes, but they wouldn't change it. We had been told in the past that any change on their end would allow us to change flights with no penalty. The agent said, "Is a 2 minute change really going to affect you that much?"
She wasn't very sympathetic...

I'm sorry I was amazed at how easy it was to do. I was ready to fight the fight that five minutes really wasn't a big deal, but they had changed it a couple times by 5 minutes. But when I told her it changed by five minutes and we wanted to leave later, she asked to what flight. No problem.

I just did. I called and added one day to Saratoga Springs. So, really the only extra money it will cost us is upgrading our park tickets by one day, which is minor. I've ever got the kids covered with sitters.

When Airtran changed my flight and I called to change it to flying in on the previous night instead, the gal gave me grief because my flight had only changed to arriving 10 minutes later. I told her that the new flight just wasn't going to work for me now. She said...really...arriving 10 minutes later won't work for you? I told her nicely no...I had a specific schedule that I was trying to keep and that flight wasn't going to help me. My schedule had changed and I was now able to fly in a day sooner so...she changed my flight to a later flight on the previous day!

And then the flight that I was booked on disappeared! They had re-booked me on an earlier flight on Thursday. I was scheduled to arrive at 7pm-ish...but my flight was changed to arrive at 5pm-ish instead! So I didn't complain...cuz I was waiting for my flight to change so that I could change it to the earlier arrival anyway!

My change was also that easy.

Seems to be a theme between these experiences. Some of us got the accommodation agents and rebooked to an earlier day enev for a short change ont heir part. If you get the inflexible person, say you need to think about it and will call back. Then call right back into another agent. Seems like so are very accommodating and other agents just don’t want to both with it all.
