I didn't do a trip report but a "Here now" with detail Oct 19-26, 2013. It was the worst (of 10) trips we ever had to Disney. It started out with a plan to take our grandaughter but wound up planning for 2 sons and a daughter in law and a girlfriend in 3 rooms at All Star Music so the kids could afford to join us. Everything that could go wrong, did. The crowds were double what is average for that week, people were rude, the girlfriend broke up with son #2 just before the trip, I was in a wheelchair from a knee injury...truly the trip from hell. The kind of trip that if you didn't have prior Disney magic experience would have been a one and done with Disney. Even worse, just before we left the doctors told us they "suspected" cancer in my husband. Hard to have fun with a cloud hanging over your head.

Once we got back, son #2 started throwing up blood. They think Mission Space triggered it, but that's the good news. In depth testing revealed renal carcinoma and my 29 year old had to have a kidney removed. He is doing well now. The cancer in my husband turned into reality after the biopsy results returned. He is scheduled for surgery and wants to do a "romantic getaway" for our anniversary before he goes under the knife. I gave him the choice of where to go. I was guessing Vegas or Bahamas or something like that, but he surprised my by picking WDW.

We just got Allegiant Airlines at our local airport, so we thought we'd give that a shot. We booked the flight first, Feb 3-7, then started looking at rooms. I searched and searched for 2 days trying to make a decision, then fate intervened with a PIN email. :yay: Our favorite resort is Beach Club because we love being able to walk into Epcot, but it only had suites showing on availability. I was considering the BC Villas, but then I saw Yacht Club with Club Level for a great price and jumped on it. We had some no expiration park hopper days leftover so I was able to tie that into our still active Magic Bands.

The plan is to take it slow, spend time just smelling the rose garden and sitting on benches soaking up the atmosphere. Plus a few rides on Expedition Everest, Rock n Roller Coaster, and Tower of Terror ;). Right now we aren't planning any priority seating, I'm guessing on such short notice it wouldn't be worth the struggle. If we have a chance to do a walk up or two we might, if not we'll just go with the flow of quick service or snacks. At least we'll both be happy with Club lounge breakfast.

Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed for good weather :beach:

I hope you have an awesome trip I will be praying for your husband and family I know what you are going through . God heals, My daughter is walking proof she is now cancer free. God bless you :)
