We're going to Discovery Cove, but would prefer not to go to SW/BG/Aquatica...

Do we have any options or ways to get around this (by paying less, etc.)?

Obviously one solution would be to just not go to seaworld, busch or aquatica, but I feel as if we're paying for it we must go. we signed up for aquatica when we booked it, but after reading reviews on tripadvisor I'm not convinced Especially since we're going Christmas week, i feel like aquatica will be crowded, disgusting, and have extremely long lines. i've been to many crowded waterparks, so i know how unpleasant they can be under those conditions.

now, if the DC ticket included typhoon lagoon passes...

Any thoughts?

If you have younger children Aquatica is great. The rivers are awesome, put the kids in vests and hit the rapids. My daughter was 7 and is not very adventerous but did every ride at Aquatica over and over. I usually last in a waterpark for about 3 hours but we did all day at Aquatica. It is a great park!

Oh yeah! the wave pools are also great because there are no tubes. You grab a vest and hit the waves......so much less crowded!
