Yeah I know you all think this is nuts! lol We just booked last week so I'm going to do ressies tomorrow. It is just DH and I so hopefully we'll be able to get in to the 4 TS dinners we want and if not we'll adjust. The deal breaker for us is having dinner at least one night at Cali Grill. We also want to get in one night to Ohana, Jiko, and LTT. Keep your fingers crossed for us! :goodvibes

Our anniversary is 10/16. Is that yours, as well? We are eating at Cali Grill on 10/20.

I made my ADR's right at the 90-day mark, thankfully before they announced extended free dining! :crowded:

Congrats on your anniversary, and good luck on getting the ADR's you want!

this week find places for their unplanned trip. Next Monday night for example, there several places in Epcot with later openings. I didn't look for Jiko or CG which I suspect are harder to get. Ohana can also be an issue but LTT dinner should not be a problem.

Our anny was actually yesterday but we couldn't go at this time. We'll just remake our own magic while we're there. :goodvibes We don't want Disney to note it but we'll make it special for us. I'm trying to order a cake but not having much luck.

Have you done Cali before? We just love it there!!!!! On the actual day of our 25th last year we had dinner there and watched Wishes from our table next to the windows. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was......

just curious ... why are you waiting to make your reservations tomorrow when you could go to Disney's website and make them right now?

I did some quick peeking but wanted to check with DH on making sure these were the places he wanted to go. We did lunch believe it or not at LTT last year and I have to say....I think it was even better than their dinners! And they were just amazingly kind to us.

CG is going to be hard but I'm hoping. That is so special to us. Jiko, we've never been and I really want to try it so again, hoping. I was surprised that he liked Ohana so much that he wanted to go back but he does! It makes for a lovely evening going over and back by boat (we're at Wilderness Lodge) and the food was very good.

There are some others too I'd like to try over by Boardwalk but I'm not going to fuss if we miss out. This was such a pleasant surprise and the food is nice but not the main part of the trip for us. I still can't believe it works out that we are there for F&W! What a shock! That makes not being able to do LeCellier totally okay. I really liked it there but the nonsense to get in there is nuts!

Because I am absolutely exhausted. Very long day at work(14 hours) and I just can't deal with trying a new system I have never used before right now. I'm going to do it on the phone with a rep and have them see what they can come up with. I'm hearing too many stories about the online system that I don't like....

well, for what it's worth I love it and it's very easy to use. I've made and canceled more reservations in the last six weeks just tweaking times and it's so much more convenient than having to call and hope that I get a CM who knows what he / she is doing. But I'm a control freak and would much rather do things myself than have to rely on someone else ... I've also been disconnected by one too many CMs this summer trying to make reservations for things so I'm sticking with the computer ... at least then I have no one to blame but me.

Really? Okay well I'll take your word for it and give it a stab tomorrow then. I really am just shot tonight and should be in bed! lol With it just being DH and I were very flexible so it should be fairly easy to find something to fit our trip but what I will definitely do is call and make sure teh ADRs are showing in the system too! Not taking any chances.

It will be fine, don't worry. :thumbsup2

And leave yourself some time to enjoy the food booths at Epcot ... the F&W Festival is the one thing that keeps bringing us back to WDW every October. It's wonderful fun!

I just did a quick peek again and it looks like Ohana will be the toughest one to get into. Oh boy.....I didn't realize it was *that* popular. There was one slot but it was for 9:35 PM. When we went last year they didn't get us in till well past our ressie time. I don't want to eat that late so we may have to skip this one......I'll keep looking.

So in order to do this I need my reservation number, correct? And what then.....look for the time/date, select it, put in the numbers and accept it? Thats all? I'm so afraid they aren't going to work.

You don't have to use your reserv. number if you don't have it handy. The system still captures the reserv. and gives it a confirm. number.

Also, if you have some flexibility in days, you can select the "date range" box, enter your range and desired time and the system will look for a reserv. on each of those days. I think it gives times w/in an hour of what you put in, so you may find something that way.

you're well within the 90-day window so you don't need to use your reservation number at all - you can go straight to the restaurant you want to book, select the date, enter the number of people in your party and click on the seach button.

If you get something you want to book just follow the prompts ... the system will ask you for your name, email address, and the phone number you can be reached at while on vacation and then you just continue to follow the prompts to book. It will book and give you a confirmation number and should also send you an email confirmation.

I only book one restaurant at a time ... the process is a little slower that way but it's easier for me to keep track of everything.

Okay. Thank you again so much. Last year was the first time we ever did free dining and I hated the whole ADR thing right off the bat. Can't say I like it any better now. I just don't like to decide this far out where I want to go. Know what I mean? All our other trips we just walked up and went in to eat when we wanted to! I miss the "dead days" of fall before free dining! lol

I did bite the bullet and post on the trade/cancellation thread. I really feel silly asking folks for their reservation and for being so unprepared but again, it was very last minute and the food, while nice....it isn't the end of the world if we miss Ohana this time. Do you have a favorite TS restaurant not on my list?

We miss the old days of walking up for dining, too!

As for favorites ... I have too many! If you're looking for something around the area where you're staying (wilderness lodge, right?) Citricos at the Grand Floridian is a lovely signature restaurant. The Grand Floridian Cafe is also very good - that's a TS restaurant that gets overlooked a lot; we've only eaten breakfast there but have heard very good things about their other two meals. I've also been hearing good things about The Wave over at the Contemporary.

If you're planning on spending some time at Epcot, Chefs de France and the Rose & Crown pub are two of our favorite places to enjoy a meal.

We try to include the ones we love and throw in some wild cards each time so I like to hear what others are trying. I hate when things get like they are with LeCellier where it seems getting in and having dinner at a specific restaurant takes more *effort* than any other part of the trip.

Where we are when we eat isn't important to us either. Again, flexibility of no kids! lol I have wanted to eat at R&C for several years now but with F&W I know we won't have a planned meal at Epcot. No reason to really this time! However....do not get between me and the Grey Goose Slushie man! lol

The Wave was one we definitely considered too. you haven't tried it personally huh? Hmmmmm......

We figure 1 day minimum at MK and LTT will be dinner there, 1 day at Epcot and grazing through F&W, 1 day at AK with dinner at ?????, Dinner one night at Jikos but not after AKL because you're usually a mess after being at that park! We'll probably do that on the 17th since there is availability and we'll just have a pool/mellow day our first day in. MGM does nothing for us so we don't even bother. So see why we're so easy??? lol We have 8 nights and only one of them is really "set in stone" so to speak because we'll be in the park. Resort hopping and such is part of the fun. Will look into Citricos and the other one at GF. Thanks again!
