Last night when we went to dinner Avery wore knee high aqua socks with fish on them with her pink sundress and pink shoes. I really wanted to have her wear a button that said "I dressed myself"

We got some cute postcards from the princesses yesterday! The girls were very excited. Avery almost was able to read the whole card! She is getting super excited to go. Has her 5 year old check up tomorrow. I am excited to see how tall she is.

Hooray! Glad the girls liked them. I will let James know. We haven't gotten ours yet but they will probably be in the mailbox today.

If you'd likd DS2 to get a postcard just send me a PM. We can get one sent out. My brother lives in Kissimmee and he wouldn't mind a bit to put another postcard in the mail. My kids love mail from the characters!

It was a rainy, yucky day so today we went out for lunch then took the girls to see the Hannah Montana movie. I have to say it was much better than I expected. It was pretty cute. The girls loved it.

Joe's mom has been teaching me how to sew over the last few years so when we came home I got back to work on some summer dresses I've been messing with for quite some time. I am no seamstress by any means but I love to piddle around with sewing. I've had fun making these. It was very, very easy which is about all I can handle. You can tell by the pics that they have some issues.

I made the hairbows just to see if I could figure it out. They turned out okay too. I love doing crafts to relieve stress. I feel better and ready to take on what the week has ahead. Only 27 more days until I get a whole week to relax and have fun. I can't wait!!

Oh my word!! I just LOVE the ladybug dresses!! They are ADORABLE!! Great job!

I got my Mickey Mail from my TA yesterday! Yippee!!!

I came home to a special surprise today. Joe was sitting on the couch waiting for me to come home and watch the WDW vacation planning video. We went through the whole thing. It was a lot of fun. I like it when he shows some interest in our trip.

BTW, went to the tanning bed yesterday. The lady insisted I go for 10 minutes rather than the 5 I requested-reasoning being that she was putting me in a bronzing bed. I am so burnt! I guess that's one way to get some color!

I know what you mean. I haven't been in a tanning bed for years but a friend gave me her visits for free because she moved away so I took advantage - I like free. I will be careful I promise. That's why I only wanted 5 min. I don't need to burn.

I can't!! We are sooo excited!! We should be receiving our Mickey mail any day now. My travel agent received it on Wed. and mailed it Thursday (along with some other goodies she put together for us). I can't WAIT to look through everything!

Joe is working this weekend (his last weekend before our trip) so it's a girl's weekend. We went to the park and for a bike ride last night. The girls put on their princess dresses and we watched Beauty and the Beast. I promised Lindsey we would watch Pocahontas so we will probably work that in tonight. We didn't go to Spring Fling at the school because frankly I don't want to be around the staff at the school.

Lindsey got into some trouble at school on Wednesday. I've slept on it for a few days and I'm still really annoyed at the school. Two girls were picking on her for being small and putting her name into to some very mean jokes. She asked them to stop; They didn't. She then went to the sub and asked him to make them stop; He didn't hear them so he did nothing. The girls did it again she said stop; they didn't. She then wrote a note saying for them to meet her on the playground so they could fight-which the kid has never been in a fight so I have no idea where this came from I guess frustration of them not leaving her alone.

So one of the girls takes the note to the teacher and Lindsey ends up in the principals office. Now for the rest of the school year they are searching her backpack every day (because she made a threat) and she has to work in the library and put the books away every day (as community service). Their reasoning is that she made a threat and made the school negative. What Lindsey did was wrong, don't get me wrong, but she tried to do the right thing and she didn't get any respect or assistance. The teacher failed her.

As punishment, Lindsey spent two evenings in her room studying with no TV-the only time she was allowed out was to eat and use the restroom. We tested her on what she was studying to make sure she was actually studying. We've talked to her and she completely understands what she did wrong and what will happen if she does it again. I just couldn't do much more because I feel like she tried to do what we've always told her to do-ask them to stop if that doesn't work ask an adult for help.

The two girls didn't have to apologize even though they did admit to picking on her to the principal when they were interviewed. The principal says that Lindsey has to toughen up. I don't disagree she shouldn't have let it bother her but is picking on someone's weakness any better than asking for a fight??? Lindsey has never laid her hands on a student and hasn't been in any type of trouble. At the very least the girls should have apologized like Lindsey did to them. Now they have gotten away with it and will inevitably do it again. I've talked to the principal repeatedly and she tells me that I'm overreacting and this isn't a big deal. Her comment was that "if students don't make bad choices every now and then I wouldn't have a job." My child is being treated like a criminal, unfairly and it is a big deal to me.

I'm sure I will look at this later and say that I am probably wrong but this is how I feel now. It's off my chest now so we can move on...

I think the school is wrong in only punishing your daughter, the other girls should also be punished. That is just teaching them all a really bad lesson about how they can get away with the bullying behaviour.
