First visit Feb 2007, stayed at Bahama Bay, package with Virgin, had a wonderful time, thanks to all the help from Dissers! Yes my family thought I was mad, obsessed even, but they admitted that all my planning was worth it!!!:)

My big 4-0 birthday coming up next year, was considering New York for a week, but then realised we could go back to Florida for the same basic cost for 2 weeks (not including park tix)! So a few sleepness nights later we have decided it's Orlando here we come!!

We are considering Lake Buena Vista Resort Village for the more central location staying in a 2 bed condo. Very close to Epcot our favourite park!! Anyone have any experience of this property? Tripadvisor review quite good.

Planning 2 weeks in Feb again, liked low crowds and mild weather. Will add Discovery Cove if we can scrape enough money together. Maybe Universal but surprisingly boys (11 & 8) are not keen, they just want to spend as much time in Disney as possible! Maybe if Harry Potter Land is open that will tip the balance!

Let the planning commence!!:surfweb:

Brilliant news! What better way to spend your 40th.
I also went for my 40th and spent the day a Discovery Cove and did the birthday package, it was excellent.

Happy Planning :yay:

Yay - a great way to spend your 40th!

Life is great if you have a Disney holiday to plan! I reckon I will have spent more time planning (and surfing these boards) than the total number of hours in our forthcoming 8 day Disney holiday by the time we go in September! :rotfl2:

i'm 40 this year i wanted to go but oh decided madam was too young (terrible two's and all that ) which is fair enough she is a maul when she doesn't want to do anything might do dlp in sept to compensate

Wooohoooo great news, Im not sure but i thin Harry Potter is opening in Summer 2010 so i will be missing it :(

Great news - hope you enjoy all the planning, it certainly helps time fly by whilst waiting for the holiday to arrive.

can't think of a better way to spend your 40th.
Happy planning :thumbsup2

Thanks for all your comments. We may push it back to October as it gives us more time to save and Harry Potter should be up and running. My birthday is in June but I don't think we'd be able to handle the heat, humidity and crowds of summer! Also tied to planning around school hols so looks like Feb or Oct Half Term and an extra week off school.

Any experiences of the weather and crowd levels in late October anyone?

Michelle
