After almost a year of waiting, I can feel springtime approaching, and in our house, that means DISNEYLAND!!!
I've been waiting to go back since our last day at the park last year - I remember the sad, semi-depressed feeling as I sat outside the Star Tours ride for the last time, waiting for my family to get off, watching the neon glow, and promising myself that we WILL be back!! Of course, we haven't set dates or booked yet - a bit of job uncertainty for dh, so dates and such will be a bit up in the air for a while.

I've been lurking on the board for a while now, and now that the trip is only a few months away, I have visions of Tigger Tails and the Peter Pan ride dancing in my head...sigh....

We just got back from another family vacation in Mexico, which was fabulous, but still, nothing can compare to DL. Same for the kids, apparently, because when dh asked them whether we should come back to Mexico or go back to DL, they both replied "Both!!". And my 5 year old earnestly explained..."Daddy, we come to Mexico in the winter when it is cold and snowy at home, and we go to Disneyland in the spring when our birthday's are." He was very patient and instructive about explaining to his dim witted father how our family vacations will be planned from now on. That's my boy!!

No real point to my post - sorry. Just so happy to be going back!!

I can completly empathize.

I've been to WDW a few times. Twice since I met my husband. Now we're planning our first trip to DL!!!! :cheer2:

All I have booked so far is the hotel (waiting for those last couple of points to hit my TrueBlue account so I can book airfare from VERMONT to CA :) ).

But I'm just so excited, it's like I want to shout from rooftops! "We're going to the original!! We're going to Disneyland!"

My family and friends out here think we're nuts. We just got back from 10 days at WDW. But we love it. We're big kids without our own kids. So although we "play" every day, it's so great to go to a place where people don't look at us strangely when we're goofing around, having a blast (or maybe they do and I just don't notice :rotfl2: ).
