We're Going!!!!!! Anybody else going this Christmas?

Just finished making our Christmas res's. for this year. This will be the first time we've been at Disney for Christmas, we've always gone during the summer otherwise. We now have seven wonderful, glorious days at BWV in a Grand Villia with all the family. When I started calling last Saturday, I asked if a GV was available thinking that it wouldn't be, and end up getting two, two bedroom villias. Well to my surprise, Wendi at MS, said they had one available. I jumped on it with both feet!!!! Then came the day by day agony of calling and worring if I would be able to keep the GV for one more day of our vacation. This day by day reservation making is tough on the nerves! I feel really fortunate that we got a GV for that time of the year. Everybody in the family is very excited first about going and seeing Disney all decked out for Christmas, and now even more excited now about being able to stay in a GV to boot!

I only got 1/2 of my reservations for the GV at OKW, I didn't call until about 10:30. I didn't get 23,24,25,26 of December. I did get 18-19-20-21-22, and I'm waitlisted, but still...

We'll be "home" for Christmas, too, at VWL. Wanted to save some points for perhaps another trip so we got a studio for 11 nights through Christmas and New Years. We love being at WDW with all our fellow DVC'ers and DIS'ers during the Holidays!

Dec 17th will be our 30th anniversary and we are planning on being there then. Probably going to go for 5 - 7 nights. I can't wait.

I'm with you. I really don't mind staying in a studio. It's my husband that insists on a one-bedroom. The way I see it (like you) a studio means more nights at Disney.

Dec 28th will be our 33rd wedding anniversery while at Disney. Instead of a nice cozy dinner at V&A's, we've decided to have a large family dinner either at Citricos or Brown Derby.

We were going to stay longer, but after reading posts about how crowded it was beginning the day after Christmas (2006), we've decided to make that our departure day.

I will have to start calling day by day for the other 1/2 of our ressies for jan. 3 to the 8th.

Well, since I got to do my 50 point add-on at BWV I just got off the phone making my Christmas reservation: 12/22-12/28 at BWV in a standard 1-br.
