We're going again and the kids don't know it

We've been going to DW now every year for the past few years and yes we decided to book our next trip a couple of weeks ago. This time we decided that we would purposely tell the kids we're not going to DW this year. So we're going to keep this trip a secret until the day we leave. Just to help things along, my DH came up with a story to sidetrack them a bit. He's told them we're going to Idaho to pick potatoes. You know, get back to nature sorta thing. LOL The hard part is keeping this a secret until November.

congrats on your upcoming trip! Keeping the surprise is the hardest part. Our surprise trip is in 3 days and my kids have no idea! I'm about ready to burst!

Congrats....the look on their faces are going to be priceless when they find out where they REALLY are going . We are doing the same thing for our March trip, the girls do know we are going to Disney for Spring Break, but little do they know that Grandma and Grandpa are going to be coming with us....my ILs live 3 hours away from us, so they are going to be flying out close to their home and will arrive at MCO about an hour or so before us. The plan is to have them go to our gate and watch for our plane and once we get off the girls will see them....I am so excited I can't wait

Also, we are planning another surprise trip for them but we will not be going until May 2011. Friends of ours want to take their 2 kids (same age as my 2 girls, plus all the kids are best friends so it will make it even more special) to Disney and they want us to come with them. We already know that we want to stay at BC and that we will go for a week, but we are not telling ANY of the kids until the day of....it will be fun.

How fun will that be for them to see their grandparents there. Make sure you have your camera ready!

We recently took the grandparents with us to celebrate their 50th anniversary. No surprise though, it was planned well in advance, but the kiddos loved having them along. Enjoy your trip!!

I bet you are ready to burst. I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to keep it a secret especially toward the end of our wait.

Just 19 days until we tell the girls we are going to DW for the first time. We are going over spring break. Guess I'd better be thinking of scavenger hunt clues we tell them on Valentines day and they are getting an m&m tube with quarters and pennies for pressed pennies and a gift card to spend also. They will have about 40 days to wait I'm so excited!!!

I tried so hard last year to keep our trip a secret. I couldn't do it I would love to surprise my daughter with a trip one year, but we always book at least 6 months out and I love to plan and talk about our trip, so I don't see how I could ever do it! Good luck!!!
