We got the lights up outside this afternoon, and boy was it worth it! I *LOVE* having lights outside!

And I almost finished decorating the tree today -- just a couple of finishing touches left to do that I'll probly do shortly after I've rested a few minutes (had too much caffiene tonight, so I suspect I'll be up late tonight)

Got the monorail up, and the "snow" and lights under it -- it works great!! I'll post a pic shortly.

All I have left for this season's decorations are the lights in my craft room window, a wreath I couldn't resist (we needed more "daytime" decorations that could be seen from outside), and DH's wine-tree (which currenly only has the lights on it, but I plan to finish tomorrow while he's running errands. Shhh! ;) )

I just *love* the Christmas season!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

So far, we only have our exterior lights up! We'll get the tree set up on Sunday, and I'll start to decorate. It'll take most of the coming week. It's tedious. I love the way it looks, but it's a pain to put it all up!!

Our tree has been *up* for about a week now, but I just got the decorations on it today. Took all day to do, too. But I had fun!

Okay, here are some pics of our indoor ornaments -- outdoor pics will come after I finish the lights and wreath in my craft room :)

The entire tree and monorail, complete with lights (I give the kitties 24 hours before they've pulled all the "snow" out from under the monorail  ;) ) If the tree seems just slightly top-heavy, that's because I lef the bottom a little less decorated than the top because of the kitties ;) Everything within easy kitty-reach is kitty-safe.

As you can probly guess, they *love* the monorail. :) Sienna was pouncing at it all evening, Skye followed it around its circuit several times before just waiting for it. Blaze is lazy and just waits for it to come back to him ;)

And Skye patiently waiting for the monorail to arrive. ;)

And, finally, a peek at what we have on our banister.

I'll have to get a pic of our entertainment center tomorrow, and the wine tree after I finish it. :)

Rajah thanks for the pics. I LOVE the monorail!
So how long before the kitties take down the tree??? LOL

Rajah, thanks for sharing the pictures, it looks beautiful. We are going to buy our tree today, I can't wait, i was excited but Rajah, you got me more excited. :D

Memo to Self:

I gotta get one of those monorails when I'm at WDW in February!!

Your tree & your other decorations look GREAT!! Have you seen any pictures of the tree at Mary's (iluvdisney?) house? She has the whole monorail thing too & it's really cute......maybe if she sees this she'll post some pics.:D

What beautiful pics, Rajah!! Love those cats and your tree is so-o-o-o awesome especially with the monorail and Epcot ball!!!:D

I love the monorail!

Blaze is a double for my cat George! I think they are even the same age. I wish I knew how to post a picture. They are identical, right down to their white markings.

Love the pictures Rajah :D

The "snow" looks cool with the lights under it. And I love the picture of Skye waiting for the monorail! :D

Love that monorail!

I'll have to get Jules to post pics of ours!:D

Loved the pics, Rajah! Your tree looks wonderful -- and the cats, as always, look beautiful! :)

Hey! What a beautiful tree! I LOVE the lights/snow with the monorail! What a great idea! Can't wait to see the wine tree! :)

TMM -- LOL! They're actually being quite good with it so far. We had it up with just lights and garland for about a week, so they got to be curious without ruining anything. And, we've screwed the normal stand down to a much larger piece of plywood to give it a sturdier base. They're playing with the ornaments on the bottom, but since those are all kitty safe, that's fine. And I liberally doused the bottom few branches and lights with something called "bitter apple", which encourages them not to chew (it makes the items taste *horribly* bitter). So, they're not chewing on the branches or lights, either. :) Worst we've had so far is them re-arranging the bead garland a bit. ;)

Ooh I love the monorail around the tree, that is so cute. The cats definitely seem to enjoy it. Now I want one for my tree!

Really enjoyed the pics! Where did you find the monorail???!!!
The cats are GORGEOUS!!!!!

We got it and Spaceship Earth at Disneyworld two years ago. :) They're still available, though.

For the way my track is laid out, it took all the track that came with the monorail, as well as one box of extra track, just FYI.

great pics!

hey we have the monorail around our tree as well! :teeth:

I'll take pictures 2nite and post 2morrow!
