we're getting a recollections store!

and it's going to be all of 10 minutes from my house! (that's probably a bad thing really ) anyhow for those of you in the northern va area, the store is going into the old kids r us in potomac run crossing (where the sterling target is basically). no idea when it's going to open, I was just excited to read it on the plywood. maggie

I saw that a couple of weeks ago. I was so excited. One is supposed to open up near Potomac Mills too. I haven't been going to that Target a lot lately, I've been going to the SuperTarget in Leesburg (much easier to get in and out of).

When I saw the building, it looked like it was going to be a long time before the store opens. They completely gutted the interior of the building.

I've been to the store in Columbia, so I am anxiously awaiting this one.

You are? How cool is that? We have LOTS of new construction going on... lots of RETAIL new construction and I keep saying to DH... "I hope that's an Archivers." I'd settle for a Recollections, too... LOL!! (Although I do have to admit we have 2 awesome LSSs that keep me pretty much in everything I need... need, yeah, that's it!!

Side note: I love the Potomac Mills area.. My sister lived in Woodbridge and when I would visit we would go to Ikea.. My hubby, daughter and myself stopped at a McD's near there is past summer on our way back home to Michigan from N.C. and it brought back great memories, but also made me somewhat sad because my sister passed away a few years ago..

I checked the ReCollections website last night and the store in Sterling will be opening on April 28th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The store near Potomac Mills opens in June.

I hadn't heard of Recollections either. So I went to their website, and was surprised to see that they have two locations in Arizona. And one of them is, I think, across the street from the strip mall that has both a Michaels and a JoAnns. How did I not know about this!
