We're bringing DoleWhip back...again! COMPLETE: Sanaa and Yachtsman!

Another great update

Your dinner at Citricos looks wonderful :goodvibes

Your photos have just transported me to Epcot which is just what I need to start my day :lovestruc

I am a big fan of Tangierine Cafe, the vegetable platter makes an excellent lunch

I have to stop by Sunshine Seasons for the croissant berry breakfast dish popcorn::

Any idea what time they serve it until?

The croissant berry bread pudding is my favorite breakfast food! I am so happy we are staying at the BWI for F&W so I can make sure we eat breakfast there alot :lmao:

Voss water, my favorite thing to drink in Epcot :rotfl: I can justify the cost while on vacation but I will never buy it in my day to day life :goodvibes

I make that Rice Dream at home for my hubby, its just rice pudding and I buy the frozen strawberries in a sauce (I think its birds eye?) and its pretty close to the real deal

I cannot believe you havent been to Karamel Kuche? Oh man I love that place!

Melon kakigori is my fave too....so refreshing on a blistering hot day!

I think the bread pudding is served until 10:30 or 11:00. Sadly it's unavailable after they switch to lunch. All the more reason to get to Epcot early! :goodvibes

I'm happy that my photos really reminded you of Epcot - I'm looking forward to reading your comments about Food and Wine in the fall. :)

What a great snack discovery! Sounds like a good plan heading over there for breakfast from BWI! Looking forward to your F&W review. :thumbsup2

Karamell Kuche is another awesome location. Lots of unique ways to spend a snack credit (and those enormous $10 apples that must be laced with gold to justify the cost :rotfl:). And while I don't love kakigori as much as I used to, I could easily get it again on a warm day (I ended up getting another melon one later in the trip :rolleyes1).

And very cool that you've replicated the rice cream at home - sounds like something I'll have to do eventually!

I'm scared to ask how much the Voss water costs in Disney! :scared1:
The Voss was $3.25 (I think), same as SmartWater at Disney. It was actually a lot less than I was expecting! :rotfl:

The snack attack wasn't over. During the last few days at WL, I also found myself at MK tasting a few more items.

Here's the cookie ice cream sandwich from Main Street Bakery:

IMG_1793.jpg

This was one of the most disappointing snacks. I had this before a few years ago and loved it, and a huge reason why it tasted so good was because the cookies were warm and gooey. This time, they were room temperature, practically cold. There was no contrast in temperature and no melting ice cream. The cookies weren't too soft either. I'm not spending another snack credit on this, simply because I found some snacks that I like way better, such as...

Auntie Gravity's smoothies. This time, I chose the tropical one, which I believe has orange, mango, and pineapple. Very refreshing, cold, and fruity. :goodvibes

IMG_1794.jpg

But there's one other cold, tropical snack that nothing else can touch. I trekked to the other side of the park,

IMG_1795.jpg

stopped at Aloha Isle,

IMG_1796.jpg

and ordered myself an amazing pineapple float with pineapple-vanilla swirl dole whip. This is so creamy, tropical, luscious, and a Disney/Hawaii classic.

IMG_1799.jpg

While I stopped to take pics, the ice cream began to slowly melt. Not a problem, as it began to blend with a juice in a euphoric combination of smooth soft serve and tangy pineapple juice. :cheer2:

I quickly devoured my float as I checked out the ongoing work at the nearby Enchanted Tiki Room.

IMG_1803.jpg

The new management has been let go (the change took effect after we left)! It's about time - I found Iago to be rather annoying, disrespectful, and completely out of place.

IMG_1808.jpg

What an awesome construction sign.

IMG_1809.jpg

While MK doesn’t have the variety that Epcot has, there are definitely some special treats here that are worth finding. :goodvibes

On our last night at WL, we checked out the lounge once again before our dinner at Artist Point.

The dish to the left is chicken salad. I really liked the caprese salad.

IMG_1832.jpg

The bacon-wrapped scallops returned, as well as make-your-own pulled pork sandwiches. :goodvibes

Overall, we loved the Old Faithful Club at Wilderness Lodge. In the future, we might pay for CL there and use it for quite a few meals. :)

Is Voss water a snack credit or did you pay out of pocket? I love Voss and it's impossible to find around my neck of the woods.

If we are to ever stay at the WL CL the staff would wonder what happened to that tray of tomatoes caprese...my DH would have smuggled it back to our room! That is his favorite!

Unfortunately I don't know if it's a snack credit since I paid OOP for the Voss. But since it cost $3.25, that means it costs just as much or less than many other snack options.

Great idea! I wish I'd done the same thing with the scallops :rotfl:. The caprese was also delicious.

Your amazing pictures just made me add yet another tab to my Disney spreadsheet! I've got a tab for my ADRs and park hours, a tab for cupcakes, a tab for drinking around the world and now...a tab for snacks! I'm sure I won't get around to everything during my trip but I'm going to try!:lmao: I love your snack photos - there is no way I'll get out of Disney without having that strawberry!

Even if things don't work out exactly according to plan, it sounds like you're going to sample some great food on your upcoming trip. :goodvibes

And I'm very impressed with the description of your spreadsheet. While there's something to say for spontaneity, when it comes to Disney cupcakes and snacks there's just no messing around! :rotfl:

Wow those snacks look delicious!
Will definitely have to try the bread pudding. And the crepe!
I'm not a fan of the Dole Whip Float because I find it a bit much but, love love love a regular Pineapple Dole Whip and always have at least 2 each trip.
The ice cream cookie sandwich... eh, it never really looked appealing to me. I love traditional ice cream sandwiches but, the cookies sandwich does nothing for me. Plus, they always look sooooo huge.
I love the school bread but, I can totally see why some might not care for it. Definitely personal preference there.
And of course, those offerings... yum!

Those snacks look amazing! I had planned on snacking around Epcot too, but found myself too full from all of the meals to do so. I did try the school bread and it was okay, but not amazing--maybe next time I'll have the rice cream instead. I'll have to keep that bread pudding on my list for our next visit too! Love the pictures, especially the close up shots.

Love the Dole Whip Swirl Float! Mmmm could go for one of those right now.

I had Caprese salad with dinner, but it didn't look anywhere near as pretty as the one from WL CL!

You're not the first person to say that about the dole whip float, and I can understand that. I have to say, I don't love the pineapple dole whip by itself, but I'm crazy for pineapple-vanilla swirl, and I really like it with the pineapple juice in a float. And I absolutely hate the orange dole whip that (to me) tastes like medicine and doesn't compare to the former citrus swirl made with orange juice at Sunshine Tree Terrace. So in spite of my username, I don't love every single type of dole whip.

Never getting that cookie sandwich again. I agree that it's huge (which could be a good thing if you're sharing or using it as a meal, but not really necessary otherwise), and this time I didn't even like it. :sad2: There are lots of other snack options though, so it's no big deal.

Snacking around the world is hard work! :rotfl: I think it's an activity that's much better done as a group, so you can share and take little bites of things but not be obligated to finish it yourself. And if you didn't love the school bread, then you might be a candidate to become a rice cream lover. :thumbsup2

Mmmmm, now I'm craving both the pineapple float and caprese salad. And I'm sure your caprese salad was pretty enough - it seems to be one of those dishes that always looks good IMO, thanks to the variety of ingredients and colors. :goodvibes

The club level offerings look delicious
I could easily make a meal out of these dishes and not bother with a sit down meal every night :)

wonderfu reviews and photography.

I agree with you regarding ice cream sandwich from Main Street, the cookie is not as good as it was before.

We've done trips where that's exactly what we've done. :goodvibes The problem is, this time we had already paid for the dining plan, so we had to use that too! I'd never choose to do CL and a DDP, but either one can be a beneficial choice.

Sad that you also noticed a change with the cookie. I've seen some complaints that the ice cream sandwich is smaller than before - I didn't notice and don't really care. But the fact that it didn't taste good is frustrating. When I'm consuming something with that many calories, it better be worth it! :rotfl:
