Well, we've just paid the deposit on our week at OKW 4th - 11th August :)

Keeping an eye on flight prices which have already gone up, but we can't pay for them til we get the money back on our Christmas flights :sad1:

Still looking like between £700-800 each to fly to New York on 28th July, then onto Orlando a week later, and back home via New York again.

Well part one is complete - you know you're going  Fingers crossed for some bargain flight prices for you. I think after your December ordeal, muchos pixie dust is in order. :goodvibes

Thank you! I can start looking forward to having a trip again now :cool1:

Fab news! I hope that you get your money back quickly so you can book your flights! :)

Just been reading another thread and have now booked flights into NYC, then home from Orlando via Dallas.

We've decided to get the train from NYC to Orlando as it sounds like fun, and is another thing we have never done before! I have tosay, the biggest attraction was not having to go through the hassles of airport security, and the price works out slightly cheaper than if we had the internal flight as well - £618 pp for flights as above, then $450 for the sleeper carriage

We reckon we can pay about half the cost of the flights from our credit card if the money doesn't come through straight away, then we can use the remainder of the refund to book our hotel in New York!

LET THE PLANNING BEGIN!!!!

We fly into JFK on the 24th then onto Orlando on the 27th so just miss you - internals with AA.com then back via JFK on the 13th August ........... can't wait!!!!!

No - got some in itineraries on Expedia so we can get cashback through quidco, though.

Have previously stayed at the Novotel and a Days Inn, so quite extreme comparisons! Have to say, I liked both of them :goodvibes

Yeahy glad your booked up!!:thumbsup2

Thanks Gemmy :)

Looking at the New Yorker hotel at the moment as it is coming out at just over £700 for the 6 nights, and is very close to Penn Station which is where the train leaves from. It is on a special rate at the moment, though, sonot sure how long that will last. 94% of visitors recommend it, which is always nice.
