Thank for info, we are also bringing our two in November, so it is good to know what worked and what didn't. Ours generally nap once a day, did yours? If so, I have heard some people say they would go to the parks and leave after lunch, go and rest, and return to parks around 4pm. Also, did your stay up any later than usual, and if so, how did that work? Thanks again!
The best advice I can give you on how to run your daily schedule is to keep your kids on the schedule they are on at home. The first two days because of our early flight and princess bkfst ds was up about 3 hrs earlier than normal, he was pretty tired until after his nap and i dont think he got all that much out of what we did before naptime. THe best way to get things done is to get to the parks early, but if your kids are SLEEPING through the parks, it doesnt really matter how early you got there, they still miss it
DS does still nap. This is what worked for US. I knew that if we tried to go back to the hotel for a nap, we would have a crying baby on the bus, he would fall asleep 5 minutes from the hotel, and not sleep. So when he began to show signs of tiredness in the parks, my DH and brother and dad went to ride on the 'fast' stuff, and I would just start walking away from the crowds (down little paths, through shops, etc). Once he was asleep I would either find an air condtioned corner of a counter service restuarant, or walk through shops, or find a nice water fountain to sit by(the water drowned out the noise of the people). Ds sleeps very well in his stroller, and it was easy for him to get at least an hour nap in the stroller, which is all he really needs anymore. Then, once he woke up, we might do one or two more things with him, but we would head back to the hotel within about 30 minutes of waking up, because while he was rested, I felt he still needed some unstimulated 'down time'. This was usualy about 3 pm, and we would go back to the room, watch 20 minutes or so of cartoons to relax, go for a 30 minute swim/water playground, and then we would have the ngiht to do what we wanted. ON MK days we of course went back there, other days we did DTD, one night we jsut relaxed and played at the hotel, one night we did Chef Mickey's and the monorail, etc.
Ds was in bed each night by about 915. He usually still got around 11 hours of sleep each night. We skipped all the night shows EXCEPT MK. He really enjoyed that parade and I would stay up for it. Since you are going in November the parks will not stay open real late so that shouldnt be a huge deal.
My biggest advice is to just know your kids, and plan the day entirely around them. I catered to his needs the whole trip, and he only whined and threw a fit ONCE during the entire 6 days in the park. Honest. And it was grandma that got him going that time

It is such a great place for kids, but it is a lot for them to handle. I cant believe that I just went to DW and didnt do my favorite ride (splash mt) but it just didnt work into his schedule. Thats okay though, cuz he can ride with me next time!
