We're back from a great 2 weeks, will try and get a trip report together once the jet lag has wore off a bit :)

Highs:

PE goin out with virgin was great
Muse at HOB were amazing
Balloon Ride
Richard Petty Driving experience
Candlelight processional
Garden Grill
Thanksgiving sales
Using a PDA GPS nav system to drive around with
50's Prime Time Cafe
Birthday at Hard Rock Cafe

Lows:

Villager Premier: 2 weeks, 3 rooms , 1 cockroach,1 nest of ants,1 flood and a disabled room that we couldnt fit the fold down bed in, which also they wanted to charge us $140 for.

Vigins pre requesting of seats: a joke in itself can never understand why they bother with the system, example.... pre request seats 180 days before flight check week before you fly check while your away. Then when you go to downtown checkin they are already taken by someone else. But are then given the seats you wanted when you tried to pre request them 180 days before hand :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: hehe if you can understand what i have put there please explain cause i still have no idea how this pre requesting of seats is supposed to work

Think DW spotted kirstenjet a couple of times but was never quick enough to say hello :D

Overall the best trip yet and cant wait till we are able to start planning the next

Welcome back! Sounds like you crammed in some great highlights and can't wait to read the reports. BTW, I've haven't read one report where pre-requested seating worked out so you are definately not alone! However if it works out for me in 3 weeks, I will be over the moon.
Sleep well,
Claire

:grouphug: Doesn't time fly? It seems only yesterday you were at the Gatwick Hilton! Glad you had a great time - 'cept for the hotel!
Looking forward to trip report! :flower:

Welcome Back

Apart from your hotel, sounds like you had a fab time :teeth:

Welcome back  Look forward to reading your trip report when I get back. You enjoyed the candlelight processional then? That's one of the things I'm most looking forward to :)

Candlelight processional was really good. We had the guy who played jesus in the passion of the christ film narrate. We were a bit shocked when we went to queue. Even though we had the dinner package, the line was horrendous. We we queueing near to the beginning of the world showcase. The poeple who didn't have the dinner package didn't get in. We all had badges to say that we had reserved seating. I would start queueing about an hour before the show starts to get a decent seat to be honest. We were at the side, it was still good though.

Still suffering a bit of jet lag so will try and post some trip reports at the weekend

It was Mel Gibson, and one of the choirs was from Coventry. Do you think I will need to book a dinner package when we go next week to be able to see it?

Jim Calveziel (sp?) was doing it that night wasn't he? When we go on Xmas Eve, Gary Sinise is doing it. Am really looking forward to it. Hmm, queueing an hour before huh? Maybe we should've scheduled dinner for afterwards then, not before. Our PS at the Rose & Crown is for 6pm and CP is at 8.15. Ah well, so long as I can hear everything I'll be happy :)

Also just found out that a friend was trying to get in contact with me while we were away and the villager premier took a message for me because they couldnt put them through to my room after 4/5 attempts, they would say they were transfering them to our room and they were just cut off

i was never given this message

Just in the process or putting a letter of complaint in to virgin with the pictures of the cockroach and other bugs we were sharing with.

Such a shame as the first 3 visits to this hotel we had no problems at all, but it seems to have gone downhill very quick

Welcome back :cool1:

All brilliant highs there :flower1:

hope the jet lag isn't too bad :grouphug:

welcome home....we got back yesterday too:(

glad you enjoyed Muse....we loved seeing Marilyn Manson at HR Live too...wish we could have done both!

We must be one of the few people who manage to get the seats we pre book I reckon....never had a problem at all in all the times Ive been!

Isnt PE great tho? It was the first time we'd done it and loved it:)

Glad you had a good holiday. Sorry you had problems at the hotel. We are staying there in Feb (bit worried now)!

make sure you check everything in your room when you get there, if your not happy get them to move you straight away. The room we got in the end was great, and i suppose the flood was just one of them things.

They have a high turnover of staff who are not sure what they are doing, when you check in also check that they are charging you the right amount for the safe, phone and deposit, the last 2 years they always seem to think we owe them money when we come to check out as they have not charged us the right amount or something we have not paid for.

Its not all bad news about the hotel i feel has still got the best location on international drive, and the lady who cleaned our room (olive) was great and looked after us.

Any other info i can pass on eds222 or even a few pics of the hotel i will be more than happy to help

angel, yea loved muse i think HOB is a great place to watch any band they are very close and if your early enough u can get a nice place to sit with a bar stool.

notice were 1 point off a free upgrade next time, wonder if virgin will let us off 1 point as u need about 20,000 and we got 19,999

Thanks very much for the advice, are there any particular rooms we could ask for which you think are better than others?

As we are not hiring a car do you have any idea of the frequency or times of the courtesy buses to the parks?

Any hotel pics you could post would be great. Thanks again (feeling happier now)!

Regards

ive sent you an email eds222

the courtesy buses im not to sure about, since we used them they have changed the systems a few times. The couple who were in a room next to us were using them and they had no problems with them, and with the i-ride bus too u will be able to get up and down international drive no problem at all.

Seems the best rooms are the ones on the 2nd floor (our 1st floor), but i think its just a case of pot luck tbh.
