My husband and I purchased ownership in Boardwalk when it was the only property being sold by Disney.......long, long, ago. A change in our financial fortunes forced us to sell our beloved DVC several years ago. We agreed if we ever got back on our feet, we would purchase DVC again.

Today, we made an offer for 210 Boardwalk points at the Timeshare Store, and the offer was accepted. Yes, we still have to go through ROFR and all the closing stuff - but we are on our way to becoming DVC owners again, and I am feeling very blessed.

Glad to see things turned around for your family! We just went thru a tough 2012 with my husband's employer of 26 years closing it's flagship plant. DH is now in his 3rd job since 2/17/12 - sadly no vacation time for him until 2014.

But that is not stopping me and DD. Thanks to DVC, annual passes from last Oct trip and free RT airfare (perk from purchasing thru startup charter travel broker last fall ) we are headed back in March.

So very excited for you! I know how exciting this process is. I too gave up ownership and waited what felt like a millennium to join again. Enjoy the feeling. The end result is oh, so worth it. Good Luck!!!

Just want to make sure you're aware that while you were away, DVC implemented a policy where resale contracts can only be used for stays at DVC resorts and RCI (the new Interval International).
