And don't want to be
We just got home last night. We were gone from 11/24 to 12/10, and in DLR 11/27 -12/3. I'll post our full trip report in a couple days, but I wanted to give a quick one now
We arrived at the GCH 11/27 about 10. We had a standard view room reserved and were upgraded!!! Wahoo!!! We got a view of the pool and could see Screaming and Mickey's Fun Wheel from our room. Was so exciting to have that view. And not only was the view upgrade awesome, but so was our location, it was about right smack inbetween the elevators to either go down close to the DDD entrance or we could go to the other elevator and be right down at CAP entrance. We were so happy. Sunday was super sunny so we went and enjoyed the pool before heading to the parks.
I must say, it was way more crowded this week this year, than last year, way more crowded. Granted, some lines were very short and all, but there were alot of people there compared to same time last year. Friday the 2nd was crazy crazy busy. We couldn't even walk around it was wall to wall people. Luckily, I had been collecting FP's all day (against DH's better judgment, he kept saying, if you want, if you want). SIlly man!!
We were supposed to check out on Friday the 2nd, but on Thursday DH said we are checking out tomorrow? and was bummed and told me to check into staying Friday night also since we were planning on spending the whole day/night in the parks anyways. I checked with the front desk and they quoted me $687, YIKES!!! but she said to call Disney Travel, so I did and the price was still high $441, DH said go for it. I couldn't believe it! And I still can't believe we paid that much for one night hotel, but oh well. DD4 was so excited, she said she would give us all her pennies to pay for it and that we wouldn't have to buy her anything else, haha. We lucked out and were able to stay in our same room, but i had packed us all up already, but that was okay.
DD is now about 41" so we were able to ride all the "big" kid rides and she had a blast!! DH even took her on TOT, she liked it but was scared of the intro part. I chickened out and passed on that ride, haha
I just wanted to say thank you again for everyone's tips, suggestions, etc. You guys rock!!
Star Tours rocks!!!
DL CM's rock!! CAP's, not so much
I'll post a more detailed trip report later. DD and I are bummed to be back home, I can't believe our Disneyland trip has come and gone, and even 6 days was not enough....
