Feel like a walking Zombi today but we're home, up and going and getting ready for school/work today.

Had an amazing trip - here's the rundown!!
Saturday - left home at 5am - kids thought we were going shopping in Buffalo - got to the border guard and handed him the note - he read it, scanned our passports and sent us on our way. Kids were still clueless!
Got to the parking at the Buffalo airport and kids were STILL clueless - parked and they STILL didn't get it. Handed them their notes with the itenerary.... our 14yo clued in right away and got super excited the almost 9yo didn't believe the note. Kept saying no we're going shopping in Buffalo.... we aren't going to Disney. Finally believed us when we got through security (without a hitch) and got to the boarding area. Was GREAT to see the excitement on their faces when they finally realized what we were doing.

Flight left on time and landed early. Got a Toyota Camry off the Alamo full sized line so dh was happy.

Checked in a Saratoga and our room was ready - this was about 1pm - we ended up in the Springs room 4137 - great view of the water, swans and nice and close to the bus stop and main area. Were very happy with the room.
Took off to super wallymart to grab some food/water and other essentials.

Came back and had a nice microwave dinner then left to check out the moderate resorts. Loved the decorations but I had envisioned that they would have decorations all over the resorts - seemed concentrated to the main area. Also went downtown Disney to shop a bit and grab a Ghiradelli sundae... yummm.

Sunday - breakfast at the Beach club - ds wore his birthday button as that is the day we chose to be his birthday - they brought him out a cupcake that he couldn't have but brought him a 'safe' brownie instead. Characters were great and paid lots of attention to him.
After breakfast we checked out the boardwalk resorts decorations then went back to the Saratoga for a swim and got ready for the Christmas party.
Christmas party was fun but one of those things I think I will ever only do once. We didn't like it as much as the Halloween party. Shows were cute - rides were all walk on's, parade and fireworks were great and it was cool to see snow on Main street. We got to the party about 3:40pm and they let us in about 3:55pm - we stayed until midnight.

Monday - Epcot day - we had planned on getting there for opening but slept in.... oops. did a few rides then walked to the world showcase to try and see as many Santa's as we could - Apparently in Canada we are all backwoods people that have moose in our backyards and we all speak French and celebrate things at Christmas I've never even heard of.... go figure!!
We managed to get a candle light processional package when we were walking by the booth - glad we did too. Had a great meal at Rose and Crown and was great to walk in and get seating very close to the front. Monique Coleman was the narrator so ds' was thrilled to have seen her 'so close up'. I think the CP was the highlight of the trip for all of us. Beautiful and that alone made the trip 'worth it!!'.

Tuesday we had to pack up the room and we had a golf game at Oak trails at 10am. Great golf game - saw wild turkeys, lots of turtles, herons and even a small gator on the 8th hole.

Checked out the rest of the resorts we hadn't seen yet, went to downtown Disney to get those few last minute things and of course another sundae then back to Saratoga for a swim and change for the flight.

Flight left on time at 7:35pm and we got into Buffalo at 10:10pm to snow. :sad2: We got to our car and were on the road by 10:30pm (loved travelling wiht just a carry on!!) and didn't get home until 1:30am because of the snow.

So we are all walking Zombi's but we had a great time!! Weather was perfect, trip all went without a hitch but it's back to reality now!!

It sounds like a great break in WDW. It was nice for the border guard to go along with the "plan".
Welcome back!

Glad the note worked out! Those border guys always are hit or miss - and I'm married to one ;)

Your mini report is making me want to go too. I did a 5 nighter back in Feb.07 and I said I'd never do it again.....it was not nearly enough time. However, right now I'm looking at the snow that is half way up my patio door and a few nights in FL sound pretty darn good.

I'm really glad you were able to pull off the surprise with the kids.

Looking at all this snow we got this weekend I'm kinda wishing I was back there - but also glad we travelled last weekend and not this weekend.

Seems like such a distant memory now...... must start planning another trip very soon!
