What a nice movie day! I like the cupcake wrappers! The Belle paprecraft is cute too. That is so funny that Savannah didn’t want to take a picture without being made up, but I have to admit that I would have done the same thing too!

I told her that she better be ready at Disney! Makeup or not, this mama is getting some pictures!

I will let you know if I do a TR, maybe just a quick run through of everything we did, etc. I'm working full time and do schoolwork in the evenings so I will try to squeeze something in!

Crowds were crazy for our week. It was Brazilian holiday time and there were tour groups everywhere. My son didn't mind however since there were several teen beauties walking around.

I loved your pics of your movie day. You are sooo creative- it looks like it turned out well even though your friends couldn't join you.

I will let you know if I do a TR, maybe just a quick run through of everything we did, etc. I'm working full time and do schoolwork in the evenings so I will try to squeeze something in!

Crowds were crazy for our week. It was Brazilian holiday time and there were tour groups everywhere. My son didn't mind however since there were several teen beauties walking around.

Have you packed yet? I can't believe you leave in 5 days. You are going to have so much fun. Even if there are a few BTGs hopefully it won't put a damper on your trip. I think your crowds should be manageable!

I'm sure they will be manageable, especially with just the two of us! I swear the more people, the slower!

I am sort of packed! I laugh because I'm normally such a planner. I swear, our last 2 trips I was packed a MONTH before going! But, this time the weather is a bigger consideration b/c Savannah & I are ONLY taking carryons. This means I cannot overpack, so I have to make sure we have enough if it gets chilly but enough warm clothes too! I really only have a pair of jeans and then some of Savannah's jeans that have to be washed and packed, then socks and toiletry stuff. I am basically planning to do all the packing on Monday.

4 DAYS and counting!

Thought I would post a random picture for the next few days...no reason, just feel like it! I have already shared almost all my favorites, so I had to dig for some of these!

What ride queue is it?

On the packing/getting ready front...I'm still just doing a little bit at a time. When I think about it, I'm mostly packed, but there are a few things we are wearing (jeans) right now that still need to be washed and packed on Monday. I plan on doing all the REAL finishing up on Monday.

Yesterday I finished up our journals! On previous trips I have gone CRAZY with tshirts, passports, journals, hats...you name it, but I have gotten to the point where I know what works for us and what we use. JOURNALS are top on the list and so this trip, aside from the 1 tshirt I did for us, journals were the only other thing that was a must-do! I tried to bring just a notebook for my trip with Rey and now I regret it b/c it's all scribbled in and pages ripped out. It's not a proper journal. I still sometimes pull out journals from our past trips and they are so much fun to read! Lots of little details that I write down during the trip that I forget later.

So, these were worth the price of ink in my printer and a little over 4$ each to have bound at Staples!

They include "specialty" pages for a lot of the parks and places/rides/things we are doing:

as well as games for the plane for us and also a big section in the back of blank pages. I will use these to write in every night (extremely early mornings that I wake up!) to chronicle our trip!

These are more valuable to me than almost any souvenir. May not seem like a big deal to most, but I have some memory issues. My father had Alzheimers and I have some concerns about that as well. Anyway, writing it all down in a journal makes me feel better, and obviously my love of photography and capturing everything in photos is part of that. I can't forget if I have it written down AND photographed!

Back tomorrow with another random picture!! Anything to pass the next 4 days without going crazy with excitement!

HEY!!!!! What a treat, having you check in during your vacation!!! I knew you would love AKL! Are you off to a good start?!?!?

I already have trouble sleeping, but get me at WDW and I'm lucky if I get 5 hours a night. I'm just too excited to sleep and want to enjoy every second of it...even if it's just sitting in the room in the dark while everyone else sleeps! ...or laying on the lobby floor of AKL taking pictures at 3am!

I edited the cover page with photoshop, but all the other pages I found here on the DIS! The DISign board (bottom of the main page) has quite a few designers that have journal pages. I have saved a TON of them to my computer over the past few years, so I just pull up the ones I will use and print them out!

I have done digital scapbooking once, when I got back from our 2008 trip, but I haven't really done any since then. I'm kind of intimidated by it! It seems like I would need to invest a bunch for supplies and stuff and I'm unsure of where to keep them in my small house!

I couldn't agree more that there really aren't any slow times these days. Kind of a bummer.

3 DAYS!

Can I just say that these days are DRAGGING now that we are so close?!?!? I know I'm not completely ready, but if you told me that it was time to go, I could probably finish packing and be ready in 30 minutes. It's so close yet so far!!!!

Oh and guess what I did? I made an ADR last night. Nothing like waiting until the last minute! I was thinking about Thursday, our AK day, and how we have some problems finding food sometimes b/c we are both vegetarians. I know, crazy, AK is the hardest park for a vegetarian to find food! We have decided that it's b/c they give all the green stuff to the animals!

So...I checked my money situation and decided that I could pull off Tusker House for lunch! We have eaten there a few times and love it. Well, I was slightly confused when it asked me to hold the ADR with a credit card until I realized that they have made lunch into a character meal! That will be fun! The last few times we went it was before that change, so this will be new. It will also be one meal that I don't have to worry about what Savannah can find to eat b/c the buffet has lots of options. I do think we're going to have massive amounts of CS meals to eat now with this extra OOP meal thrown in!

Today is a day of scrapbooking for me. This one is to benefit one of the local school's PTA. I like it because there are raffles and usually I'm pretty lucky. Doesn't really matter, though, because to goal is to scrapbook. I'm on Victoria's year 2. Boy, she was a little doll back then!!!

I'm sure I will pop in to wish you a great trip before you leave! I'm so excited for you!!!

Thanks! There are all kinds of journal pages out there to use, the last few I made Savannah had coloring pages, mazes, games, and journal pages! On the last LOOOOONG drive down she really used it for hours, it was great! A great souvenir/keepsake too!
