NO! I'm totally not packed! There are these tanks/camis that I wear nearly every day and a few pairs of jeans that I just cannot pack until the last minute! I guess when I get a few days closer I can wear other stuff, but I do have SOME stuff packed...Savannah has nothing packed!

I can't believe it's almost time for your trip! I know how you feel about being in denial......I am going through that myself. I think we plan for these trips for so long and when it's finally time to go,you don't know where to start. We have 3 weeks left and I haven't done anything at all. Oh well, I will get it together soon! I like that you are posting all of your older pictures, they are so sweet.

Ya know, I'm an uberplanner, but something has happened to me...I'm learning to procrastinate! I still feel like I should be doing stuff but I'm not! Oh I did buy mini-toiletries yesterday and put them in their ziplock in the carryon. Big feat!

9 DAYS LEFT!!! Single digit dance!

Yep, still doesn't feel real! I think I'll be posting from the airport that it doesn't feel real at this point. I pulled out shorts yesterday, I think it's going to be good weather! Right now it's really warm and then it looks like a little cold front but then warming back up right for our arrival! I can see the 10 day forecast now and 73 is the high on arrival day! PERFECT! I'll still bring jeans, but not as many.

I also bought my mini-toiletries yesterday and packed them. That's it for packing, I just can't do much more until we get closer and know the weather for sure and I wear some of the stuff I'm bringing.

Yesterday, we did a little project for our next and last Disney Day coming up Wednesday. It was fun, Savannah & Kya used sharpie to decorate these mugs I found at the thrift store. Then you bake them for 30 minutes and the sharpie becomes permanent.

Any idea what MOVIE we are doing for Disney Day, looking at this?

It should be fun, I'm looking forward to the movie. We don't always watch movies on movie day but this one I want to be sure to watch! I don't think Savannah has seen it since she was a little bitty girl!

Not really big update news, but it was funny...last night we played Apples to Apples and everyone always gives me the cards that are related to Disney stuff b/c they know I will pick them. (not THAT many of the cards are Disney related) The word was BRAVE and ALL THREE of them gave me a Disney card! I just thought it was funny, I'm just too transparent. I wonder if you can guess who I picked!

Beauty and the Beast night how cool. We have been watching a few Disney movies lately (no party though, I am not creative enough...lol). We have watched Cinderella, Ratatioue and Peter Pan. I was hoping to squeeze in Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid before we left but I don't think that will happen now. Very busy! I need to start packing...lol.

I know, I kept thinking I would get all these movies in before the trip and I missed quite a few! Part of the problem is that I cannot get them on instant netflix, you have to order the DVD's and up until a week ago, we were just getting the streaming...so no Disney movie access! I was hoping to watch LM before the trip as well b/c of the new ride. I thought it would mean more to Savannah if she had seen the movie, but even after doing the Disney Day, we never did watch the movie! I'm determined to watch Beauty and the Beast since we are going to do a CS lunch at BOG and I want her to be WOWed by the grand ballroom, west wing, etc. and have seen the movie!

I have never played Apples to Apples, but so many people I know said it's great. I am now very intrigued. I might have to check that one out.

Apples to Apples is such a great game! We have the regular and Jr version, you just have to have readers to play it but anyone can play. I actually like the Jr. version a little better b/c it has funnier cards.

8 Days and a weather update!!

So I have been following the extended forecast for a while. It was pretty bleak, actually, but I wasn't fretting, these things are usually just guessing when it's that far out. For a while they were saying rainy and chillier (60s) temps for our trip. Not today, 8 days out!!!

Extended forecast for our trip:
Feb. 5th (arrival evening) 73 and cloudy
Feb. 6th (first park day!) BRIGHT AND SUNNY 75!
Feb. 7th ABUNDANT SUNSHINE and 74!
Feb. 8th (last park day) BRILLIANT Sunshine and 78!

WOOT! No, I didn't make up those sunshine comments, that's what they actually forecast, so it must be so, right?!?!?

I'm pleased as punch. In a funny related story, I went to check the weather and when I got to the page, I thought it had already taken me to Orlando instead of *home* (Missouri) because it said the high today is going to be 70. Nope, that's actually our forecast for today! Freak record-breaking temp (it's normally in the 30s) today, it's actually only 3 degrees warmer in Orlando right now than here??? Only today though, back into the 20s and 30s the rest of the week, so I better get out there and enjoy it today!

Through the night it snowed here and then started with freezing rain. Nice really slippery roads to get to work on my last day before vacation...urrrgg. Oh well can't wait to be the warm Orlando weather!

Drive carefully and stay safe! Even though it's going to be 70, it's going to be CLOUDY...so I'm going to do my best to enjoy, but I'm not sure how enjoyable it will be with no sun! I know, I have it so rough!

With all the cold, gray skies and just plain gloominess (is that a word?) of winter I am beginning to think I might suffer from SAD. I could really use some sunshine and warmth. Maybe if I just close my eyes I can picture myself laying by the pool , sun beating down on my face with a cold drink in my hand ! OK....visualization not working! Bummer!

I actually do suffer from SAD, but it's more of a vitamin D deficiency. I get fibromyalgia if I don't take vitamin D all winter long and get some sun on warmer days. Once summer hits, I don't need to take it anymore. Sometimes I forget in the fall to start back up and I'll get into the beginning of October and the pain will start and then I remember! Takes about 3 weeks of taking it at that point (in high doses) to get it under control! Scary stuff.

So, on days like today, when we have freak warm weather in winter, you will find me outside sitting in the sun. I have been known to layout in my suit in 50-60 degree weather in January! Rey says we should move to Florida, and that's nice, but I'm not willing to start all over with my business and friends. I'll just have to VISIT every winter! So far, so good, with that plan!

I hope your trip was magical! I want to hear all about it, let me know when you start a TR, I always forget to check the TR board. The weather is looking pretty good, I hope the crowds are as well, how were they for you? I heard pretty large until just this week?

5 Days!!!!!!! And a busy 5 days they are going to be! Good thing b/c the petsitting jobs I have last minute this weekend are the extra money I'm taking!

I have to admit, I've been stressing about it a bit. Even though I KNOW it's my slow time in Jan/Feb, (that's why I chose these dates!!) I forget that slow time means less business which means less money! Duh! We'll be fine and are getting a tax return, but that won't be until after the trip, so I have been stressing on making sure I have money for emergencies, souvenirs, and extras. Technically, I just need money for our CP breakfast. Everything else, including all our food is paid for, but I want to be able to get something on a whim if Savannah wants it or get an extra drink if we feel like it, etc. I'm SURE it will be fine, I think this is just how my pre-trip-nerves manifest themselves. I think if I had a load of money I would find something else to stress on.

So yesterday was our last Disney Movie Day!!!!!! Unfortunately, Kya was sick, so my partner in Disney-crime, Hope, couldn't come and we were on our own yesterday. So, the table was missing a few things that Hope was going to bring, but we made due and Rey joined the fun and helped with our day.

I made cupcakes WITH HOMEMADE icing, thank-you-very-much. I've never made icing from scratch, so I think I did pretty well. Hope was going to bring little mini-quiches, so Dallas made his homemade pizza instead. I don't have a picture b/c it's the same pizza he makes for the family every week and well...b/c it's pizza and not very French!

Here's the table:

Rey was super sweet and when we went to the store with Dallas, he brought home a "French looking" chocolate cake for us to add to the table.

Savannah didn't remember watching the movie when she was little, we had it on VHS back then. So, Rey, Savannah & I settled in and watched it. Perfectly gloomy, chilly day to watch a movie together! TOTAL hit! I nearly cried a few times (when did I become such a sap?!?!?) and I'm so glad we watched the movie before going and seeing the new Fantasyland! Savannah says she will NOT meet Gaston! Whatever, saves me standing in line! I'm sure she will be amused by him just from afar.

Watching the movie was such a hit that Savannah immediately suggested we watch her favorite princess movie (that she hasn't watched in at least a year b/c she couldn't even find it when we went to pull it out!)...Cinderella! So, it was a double feature day for us!

I kinda begged for a picture and told her I wouldn't ask for another for FIVE DAYS! She said her hair was a mess and her makeup was old and not done (WHEN did I get a teenager??) but obliged by holding Chip in front of most of her face. That's ok, she KNOWS that in 5 days, she'll be in MANY pictures makeup or no!

So, it was a total success of a day, even though we missed our friends. Now, if we could just figure out this SLEEP thing! most of us in the house (ok, me and my offspring) are plagued with sleeping issues. I cannot sleep more than 6 hours and find myself exhausted at 8pm at night. Dallas can't sleep long either, but is up all night and then sleeps a few hours during the day...now Savannah is having trouble! In fact, she's been staying up pretty late and last night she tried to go to bed "early" at 11pm and woke up at 1am wide awake! (I know this b/c I was up at 2:30 and she told me)

So, we may just be zombies on this trip! I have no idea how to "fix" these issues we have. I usually wake up super early at Disney and write in my journal and I'm ok on a little sleep...but she's going to be a bear if she is tired, so we will continue to try and work on it until Tuesday!

Gosh Ann, I'm not sure I can take lots of pics of Fantasyland...I might not feel like it... Bwahahahahahaaaa! You KNOW I will take tons! Unless it's raining...I had intentions of taking many on our November trip, but the rain had me hiding my camera under the poncho and frustrated! It wasn't actually open anyway the day we went, but I didn't even get any pics of the AREA! So I'm pretty excited to get some this trip!!

What a nice movie day! I like the cupcake wrappers! The Belle paprecraft is cute too. That is so funny that Savannah didn’t want to take a picture without being made up, but I have to admit that I would have done the same thing too!
