I'm so glad you are here!! They grow up too fast. People SAY that all the time, but until you experience it, you really don't believe it. It's stunning that my boys are 17 & 18, they don't even resemble those babies that I had! Makes me feel old too! :p

Oh my goodness! Savannah looked like a BABY in 2008! :cutie: She was still a baby in 2009, but she really has grown up since then! She is so tall! I know that once I get pictures taken of me and my kids in WDW, I’m going to cry to see how much they have grown since our last trip in 2009! They grow up so fast! I am loving that you made a list of rides for Savannah! I am stealing that idea! Being an obsessive list maker, I can’t believe that I didn’t think of it myself! And I love how she got into circling the names and putting check marks next to the ones she wants to do multiple times! You are raising her right! :lmao: You really do have a ride-filled trip! I think it is totally do-able, though, because you are going during the middle of the week in early February. The crowds should be fairly low! :thumbsup2 Sending pixie dust your way for walk-on rides! pixiedust:

Love all on the info on your daughters ride picks. Making my list for the Gkids choose from. Hopefully they both will pick the same ones. But I know they both will give and take. Of course if there is a problem we will have 2 adults so from time to time we might split the group up.

Love all the pics. And your daughter has turned into a beautiful young lady.
Waiting for more....

Thank you! I'm finally done with my crazy Thanksgiving, so I'll post an update in a bit!

Savannah enjoyed picking all the rides more than I thought she would! It was a lot of fun. We're both optimistic about the rides, if we don't get to do them all, that's fine, we realize it's a big list!

That will help! It's always good to consider splitting up. My dh was totally unwilling to do that and I think it actually made it so much harder. I totally get being together during vacation, but it's ok to split of sometimes, it even gives a little special time!

I thought I would do a little Thanksgiving update today since my clients are all home and work has slowed down!

We had a busy, but FUN Thanksgiving! We even managed to find the time to make a huge Thanksgiving meal, just for the 5 of us, and put up the Christmas tree! I made PIE. Yum. The best was the peach cobbler and I burnt the crust on the apple crumb a bit, but nobody's perfect. :p

Savannah & I enjoyed putting up the tree, the boys didn't really help, but they hung around watching us. :p Rey actually fell asleep while I was putting it up, it made a funny picture, but he made me promise I wouldn't post it online.

Savannah tried to get the dogs in the spirit as well. LOL

Ok, so trip-related...
So, that was a hard holiday weekend, but I paid of quite a bit of our trip with money I made!!! I just owe $300 now on our balance. It's due December 22nd, which is unfortunate, but that $300 will pay EVERYTHING off! Our flights are paid for, that will pay off our room, tickets, AND CS meals, all I will need is money for Crystal Palace breakfast and souvenirs! I'm going to try and not stress about it, I have lots of Christmas petsitting coming up as well, so I'm sure I will get it paid. :)

Another concern is Savannah's fear of flying. Our 2008 trip was her first and only flight. She was GREAT, no fear. She says she just wasn't very smart back then and didn't worry about things the way she does now.

It's not that she's worried about the plane going down or anything...it's her EARS. She has chronic ear problems, she has for a few years now, and she is afraid it's going to hurt. I'm unsure of what to do, I have tried to tell her that we'll load her up on decongestant and alleviate her fears...but I can't outright lie to her and say it won't hurt b/c it may. I had ear issues as a child and remember some pretty painful plane rides. I'm just not sure what I can do, but I hope I don't get her to the gate and then have her panic!

Any suggestions?

I have a friend who flies from Chicago to NY quite a bit to see family, and he swears by chewing gum. He also has ear problems and says it helps with the popping in his ears.

Cute tree. Mine is still in the box. Lol.

:lmao: That is the cutest thing I have heard all day! Kids are hilarious! I am sorry about her ear problems, though. My bother used to be very bothered by flying and my mom gave him gum, too, so I think it does work. My kids both had problems with the air pressure on our last flight – one had a headache and one had popping ears – and gum helped for the one with the popping ears. Does decongestant help? If so, I am going to try it with my kids on our next flight. I hope Savannah doesn’t have too many problems with it. Oh, and :cheer2: for getting almost all of the trip paid off! That’s great!

I'll be sure to bring some. Gum never worked for me, but maybe it will for her! :thumbsup2

So gum never worked for me. I remember crying and being in so much pain, the flight attendants took the cups and put wet/hot papertowels in them and we held them on my ears and the heat soothed them? It was years ago, who knows! Yes, she takes non-drowsy decongestant when her ears bug her and that helps, but not sure if it will help on the plane.

It's funny the insight kids have. Sometimes too much insight!

I'm Here! Great start to your PTR. We will be there the same time as you but will be at All Star Movies!!!

Hello! Hello! I haven't abandoned my planning, but we were pretty busy last week and then came down with a virus that took half of us out. Savannah was lucky enough to be at a friend's house and avoid it, but Rey suffered the most. We're all recovering now, so I thought I would share what we did last week! 64 days BTW!

The day before the sickness started we had COOKIE DAY! Every year my mom & sister drive out (they live 100 miles away in St. Louis, where I grew up) and we make cookies. Correction...I MAKE the cookies! :lmao: My sister has continued my mothers tradition of giving boxes of homemade cookies for Christmas to family and friends as gifts. She makes all kinds, but THIS kind, the roll out sugar cookie that gets iced, she cannot make for some reason. She says I have the magic touch and I'm the only one who can roll them out without sticking.

So, my mom and sister come out, my sister brings all the dough she has made the night before, cookie sheets, etc. and I spend a few hours rolling and cutting, and then I get some free cookies! :rotfl2:

This year, I wanted some pictures and Savannah was the photographer! (well, Rey took a couple of them, but most are Savannah's)

This is me BEFORE cookies:

Savannah LOVES taking kitty pictures. She took about 100 of Lynx.

This is what the teenagers do while we make cookies...but it's LOUD and the picture does not convey that. :p

Savannah, my mommy, and me! My mom is 80! :)

That's about it! Then we got sick. LOL. I'm in the Christmas crunch, which makes it hard to get payments made on what's left of our balance, but it will get done! I hope everyone is enjoying holiday festivities, I love this time of year!

Great pictures!! Feb will be here before we know it!! I am at 59 days today!

WOOT! 50s!!! :woohoo:

I hope we get the weather that we got at the end of January last year down there. PERFECT weather...of course that brought out all the locals and it was busier, but still...by February, I'm going to want some SUN! :thumbsup2

I'm editing to add that it looked funny...like when I said you were in the 50s, that reminded me of weather temps or something?!?! It's too early. :p
