We stayed at DLH CC from 23rd to 27th December. We arrived home Wednesday evening, had relatives over on Thursday and I was back to work on Friday!
I'll try and do a trip report when I get some time and also try and work out how to post photos.

CC was superb - we were very spoilt. You get VIP fastpasses which are valid for the whole trip including day of arrival and departure. You simply show them at the fastpass entrance and keep them - you can use them as many times as you like - definitely worth their weight in gold at such busy times.

You get a special key card which allows you to access the CC and you can also take the lift down to the entrance of the park - very cool! When the lift doors open and everyone is queuing you certainly get some strange looks.

Every evening your beds are turned down and they leave chocolate Mickey coins on the beds and the next day's weather forecast - lovely touch.

CC lounge was excellent. Non-alcoholic drinks are served free throughout the day and you can also buy alcoholic drinks. Tea is served in the afternoon - very tasty cakes. It's lovely when you get too cold to just return to the lounge, have a hot drink (without paying or queuing), defrost and then return to the park!

As a surprise on Christmas Eve the Hotel left lovely Bambi Stockings full of sweeties for DD and a box of DH exclusive chocolates for us adults. In the evening we returned to our room to find a bottle of chilled champagne and glasses.

The weather was very cold and misty a lot of the time as others have said. From the CC lounge you have a lovely view over Main Street, the Christmas Tree and Castle. However, one day you could not even see the Castle - very spookie.

We had a fabulous Christmas at DLP which was very luxurious as we were spoilt. The downside is that next time we return to DLP it is very unlikely to be to the DLH CC unless we win the lottery so we will miss the pampering and convenience of being at the park entrance.

We did the Lion King and Winnie the Pooh shows which were excellent. We didn't do Mickey's Winter Wonderland this time as we had done it a couple of years ago and I don't think it has changed much. The Enchanting Lighting Ceremony was lovely too.

We also did the Wonderful World of Tinkerbell Show at NPBH on Boxing Day. This show was excellent and the food was ok but we didn't think it was anything special although it must be very hard to cater for such large numbers. It certainly pays to be early to the Show as you are seated according to when you arrive and it is a very large conference room and I wouldn't have liked to have been at the back.

Sounds like you had the most perfect Christmas and a wonderful Disney experience, look forward to seeing some photos.:goodvibes

It sounds absolutely wonderful!! :goodvibes Of course I'm not the slightest bit envious!!! :rolleyes1 ;)

Sounds wonderful. Likewise looking forward to seeing the photos.
I'll send a PM regarding posting them :)

What a lovely way to spend Christmas.

I also can't wait to see photos and to read your trip report! What about canceling all your plans for New Years Eve and write us a trip report! :rotfl:

Wow, that sounds great, especially the VIP Fastpasses & the elevator.

I am booking DLH CC for next December, can I ask you when you made your reservation? I can't seem to book anything yet.

Thanks!

Wow, what a magical trip!! :wizard:

Ah, but at least you have the wonderful memories of this trip to savour!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Looking forward to seeing some photos :)

Cass : I can't remember exactly when I booked but it was the day the winter season came up. I think it's usually about 6 months in advance so guessing at end of May/June. It is certainly a wonderful experience.

Hi there, thanks for the info.

It is kind of crazy that you can't book any further ahead than 6 months. I hate not having it confirmed and waiting.

I just booked the Castle Club 2 rooms adjoining June 20th to June 25th, your thread made me feel better as the bite was painful!:scared1:

Are all those shows mentioned, dinner shows? Can you give me a little info?

Could you please tell me how much you have paid for this CC stay in June? :rolleyes1

The tinkerbell show is only on at Christmas. Bufflalo Bill's runs all year though.

RJAYL, the above shows are free shows held in the Disneyland Park several times a day. :)

The Tinker Bell show and Buffalo Bill's are both dinner shows. There is more information about them on the official website here and here.
