Hi all!

We're back, got in about 7 tonight. The drive home is always so long...

When we arrived at Port Orleans, Thursday night, it was really cold. Some of you may recall that I had a hard time finding some winter clothes around here. I had ordered some new mittens for the kids from LandsEnd and they arrived Wednesday. I ordered some additional things with next day delivery on Wednesday, but they didn't make it here on time. Apparently, LandsEnd can't actually ship your order the day after you place it, they require one full day in order to process your order. I left a note for UPS on my door refusing the package, saved me $200.

Fortunately, I was able to find some long johns (janes) for the kids at a Target on clearance. So everything worked out fine with that. We dressed in layers and our Polartec jackets did the job. We didn't feel cold at all, except our faces.

MK was surprisingly busy on Friday considering the cold temps. We actually saw a man wearing shorts and a polo style shirt, he was standing in line behind DH. He was from England, so no big deal for him.;) Ice cream wasn't selling very well that day! ;) ;) We didn't see any funky (bad shoes) shoes, though.;) :p :p

There were many characters throughout the park, plenty of photo opportunities.

Here are some:

This was taken today... My family and our server,Edwin, at Beaches and Cream. That's right, it's the Kitchen sink!!! I really didn't care for it, just too much stuff. It was fun to try!!! The family sitting behind us also had one and they almost finished it!

We had a great time and really didn't want to leave...:(

Well, there is always next time...;) :p :p

Very, very nice, Rita!!!!! Again, thanks for sharing your trip. Everyone looks so happy. Neat!!!

Nice pics Rita:D Btw, What in the world is the Kitchen Sink made of. We missed Beaches and Cream last year, but are definitely doing it this June. That looks so good:jester:

Fantastic pictures Rita!:)

And the guy at the other table really looks like he'd like to help you out with your Kitchen Sink!:p

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us.:)

You have such a beautiful family, Rita. Thanks for sharing those pics with us.

Gonna have to try that Kitchen Sink one of these days. :)

Thanks all!

Princess Ariel~ The Kitchen Sink is a huge ice cream dessert, as you can see.;) I think there are 6 scoops of ice cream (I tasted choco, straw, coffee and mint choco chip) plus every single topping that they have to offer, then it's topped with a WHOLE can of whipped cream and served in a metal container that looks like a kitchen sink with a faucet.

When it's served, there is a little ceremony that your server does (he calls everyone's attention to your table and your dessert):p . There is just too much stuff, it melts really fast and the ice cream is buried under all the toppings. Some of the toppings I couldn't even recognize by taste. I asked our server not to add bananas or the pinapple topping, but he did anyway. There is something about bananas and ice cream together that makes me gag. It was something fun to try one time, but not something I'll try again. The kids didn't like it, just too many toppings and could barely taste the ice cream.

I thought your kids looked just like you until I saw the last pic.:teeth: I think they look a lot like your DH too.:)

Your dd looks like she could eat the whole thing!:)

Y'all look cold. BRRRRR!:)

Thanks for sharing, Rita.:) Great pics.:)

Wow, your photo's look like Disney ads! The perfect beautiful family! I wouldn't be surprised if you guys didn't get approached by Disney to have your family featured in their magazine! ;)

You guys looked like you were having a great time. I think I would have been mortified though if the waiter called attention to my table if we ordered the "Kitchen Sink!" Thanks for the warning!!

Thanks for sharing too!

Mishetta~ You're too kind with your compliments, thank you. I just remembered that when our server was doing the little ceremony, I think he used the word "pigs" or something like it when referring to us. :p :p They said it to all the families/folks that ordered the Kitchen Sink, it's just part of the ceremony. It was fun!:p :p

Great pictures, Rita! Looks like you all had a wonderful time in spite of the weather. Thanks for sharing!

Those are great pictures Rita!!! It sure does look cold down there though and I am glad that you were able to find the mittens and all that to keep warm! The kitchen sink sounds so fun to try at least once. Maybe some day I will try it :) Thanks again for sharing these, they all look great!!!

WOW, great pics, Rita. You sure are a beautiful family. I'd love to try the kitchen sink, seems like fun.
