Got back very late last night/morning. So in traditional style, here are our highs and lows:
Highs:
Dreams!!!! I can't say enough good things about this, just amazing
Hotel New York, again did not disappoint
Park looking beautiful, especially in the sun. We saw things being painted most days and the gardeners out during EMH
EMH - always better when the sun's out
Tour of the main park: really informative and enjoyed by all of us - a wee surprise I didn't know about either that thrilled ds to bits
Despite being very high season, we found the crowds manageable and did most of what we wanted
Meeting Max at our hotel
Food everywhere we ate was very good
Being able to relax in the pool on hot afternoons and knowing we'd be going back out to the park later
Lows:
Nothing to do with Disney - I still had toothache throughout the whole trip. On the day we arrived I felt like a zombie....I didn't slept well at all the entire trip so I did feel groggy most days.
Stunt show at the Studios was a real disappointment - just not the same anymore
We had a fantastic time again, as we always do. I've read a couple of the threads on here this week and I genuinely don't feel like that. I love just being at DLP. We've made so many wonderful memories over the years and my kids have practically grown up there. They can navigate the parks really well and enjoy seeing the same things. They have never once said anything to me about the maintenance or running of the parks - they see it through kids eyes...which is what I do too
I refuse to pay all that money and not make the most of it - I must have rose tinted glasses, and I love them
Off now to upload some photos and make a start on my trippie
