Well we got back from our almost week long trip last night. We had a BLAST. We drove down on Thursday the 28th and I found out that if you have tickets at Guest Services you BETTER have your confirmation number with you as my dh just dumped us out at the light on harbor as it was close to 5 and I got all the way through security and didn't have that OR my AP. So word to the wise make sure you have ALL your stuff, Pass, Visa, Conf number etc.

Anyway we had dinner at Storytellers and I also found out if you have a birthday you can get a button at GS as well. So we didn't have to mess with City hall the next day and Katy got extra props that night including a little cake and singing at storytellers.

We used our photopass again to take pics with the x-mas tree at GC and also of Katy's birthday at the plaza. They worked great and have already been ordered!

We had lunch again at Cafe Orleans and it was awesome and did the birthday at plaza inn and it was fun if anyone has any questions. We also did the holiday tour and it was GREAT. Highly recommend this!!

The park was VERY crowded but we didn't feel overwhelmed a bit and got to do everything we wanted and even gave away our fast passes cuz we were tired and ready to leave.

GREAT time!! Only 47 days till my next trip!!!

Glad to hear you had a great trip! I admire you able to do it with those crowds, I can't even stand regular Saturdays!!

We have almost the same trips planned out for 2007 as we are also going in February, June and October. We also slipped a May trip to WDW (hopefully still as long as DH gets his vacation pick!) You'll be there a week after us in February but we'll be there around the same dates in June!

Glad to hear your DD had a wonderful birthday!

Thanks. Another thing I forgot was that if you are an AP holder and you go on a blockout date you have to have everyone in your family go to buy the blockout pass. I had my dh and kids in line while mom and I went to buy the passes and the lady was a bit snippy with me but she let it fly "this time". It doesn't matter cuz we most likely won't ever go on a blockout day again cuz it still cost me 150 bucks for the 5 of us but it was still worth it.

And yes my dd had a GREAT b-day. She got the royalty treatment all day at DL and then I had her wear her b-day button at Universal and she got lots of props then too.

We also went to the El Capitan theater and she had LOTS of fun with that and the soda fountain. Got another birthday button and of course the signing etc.

I think you will have a better time the week before in Feb but we are getting to be pros at navigating during busy times now so I think we will do ok. The key though is the longer hours. If it is crowded you really need the long days and the mid day break to make it work. This time we had lunch, the birthday and the tour so we were never able to leave and it made for a LONG day and thus we left right after the parade and skipped our evening rides.

I am not sure about feb hours but if they are short we will most likely not get an afternoon rest so it will be interesting to see just how much rides we will actually get. I am just glad we are going back though cuz we probably only did 5 rides the whole day on the 29th.

Maybe we will see you in June!! We will be the family first to ride Nemo LOL!

I have ressie for April and I am hoping that I can keep those. Not a big fan of crowdes

Can you tell in more detail what special Birthday things that you did?? Especially at the Plaza (and how did you reserve it) Thanks! Glad you had a great time.

Well if you take someone whose birthday it is or close to it (we were there on the 29th and her birthday was the 31st) make sure to get a birthday button. You can get them at Guest Services, City Hall and I have heard at the hotels as well.

It will for sure get the person lots of attention and possibly some free stuff too.

The first night we got the little cake and singing at Storytellers and then the day of we went to the Plaza. You can reserve this up to 60 days in advance and it is a good idea because it was packed. For 10 dollars a person you get a hat, a cup of juice in a cup you can keep and a little cake that you get to decorate. Pat E. Cake is your host and they sing and talk and they judge the cakes and then you get a little sticker that looks like a ribbon. Afterwards Mickey and Minnie come and out the birthday child gets their pic taken with them. It is fun and the kids love it.

As far as other things in the area if you are going to more than Disneyland we took Katy to The El Capitan theater in Hollywood and she had a great time and right next door they have the Disney Soda Fountain and again she got her ice cream and a candle and they sang to her. They have special sundaes as well that you can buy and receive a pin with them.

I hope that answers your question but feel free to ask anything else. :)
