Hi gang, Were back from disney... We took a more relaxed approach to this trip. Mornings & evenings in the parks. I just wanted to say that people were so nice & sweet in MGM & Epcot.
I sneezed and a couple said god bless you. A family made room for us at fantasmic (they were a disability family too). We did not enjoy magic kingdom again. We saved this for the last 2 days. Maybe it's just me but there doesn't seem to be as much eye contact, politeness, and it's so crowded. Especially in the those corner areas where the traffic doesn't flow, like at splash mountain. We did not enjoy ourselves at the Coronado Springs Resort either. We asked to be close to the main building/ bus stop due to medical necessity but we were so far away. The room was infested with tiny ants, crickets, cockroaches, spiders and even a few lizards. I was very upset but was told there was no where to move us with a special need rooms. I complained to the manager which they did send pest control 1x but they just came back. All this made my skin crawl. We never have had a problem like this at the cabins or the wilderness lodge. At the pool I wanted to take kelsey down the slide with me since she is handicapped but was told only 1 person at a time. Kelsey gets scared and needs the physical support. I do not recommend this resort but maybe it was just bad luck on this trip. I would like to make a formal complaint about the insects. I should probably post a trip report but I like chatt'n with you guys better;)
Now it's 2 more years till our next trip~~disney cruise & poly.:earsgirl:

Funny you should mention CSR... I liked this resort when we stayed there for one night, but I didn't think it would be so great for people with disabilities because of the huge distances between buildings and the main pool, the rough flooring inside the main building, the noisy and labyrinthine food court. Some families love it, though.

I can't believe the pest problem - that is just unacceptable. I hope you do complain about that, in writing.

Magic Kingdom... :::sigh::: I am so spoiled by Disneyland now, I don't have much desire to go to MK anymore. I got the same feeling that you did.

Thanks for the report.
I agree with you about MK. It seems like so many of the people there are on "Commando" mode and they see the rest of the world as being in their way. We haven't run into that as much at the other parks.

We've never stayed at CSR, but we have found lizards in the room at OKW. They sent someone right away to trap them. One of the hazards of a first floor room is that it's easier for critters to get in, but they should be more vigilant about getting rid of them in those rooms.
