We just returned Tuesday night from a fantastic trip. Our son was born in August, so we took him for his first trip. We enjoyed our week, made wonderful memories, and can't wait to go back again. We didn't do a trip report, but we made a video, and the link is in my signature. (Edited to add a link in the text. See the video here.)

I'd be happy to answer any questions about traveling in January, the resort, going with an infant, etc.

what a cute little guy, and a great video. glad you had an awesome trip and thank you for sharing your video, made my kids and myself smile.:goodvibes

Love the video. We are taking our 2yr old for his first trip in less then a week. :goodvibes

Can you give the names of the songs used in your video. Thinking of making a video also when we get back and like some song ideas. Thanks

The CM and characters all look so excited to see him!

What an adorable baby and he seems to have a really sweet nature!

LOVE his Buzz interaction! And how sweet Mickey and Minnie were with him. So precious!

And off topic but Sic Em Bears! :thumbsup2

It must have been so hard to edit all the crying moments out! Just kidding. Thanks for sharing! People said the same thing about us when we brought our 4 and 2 year olds. they won't remember it. I didn't care because I will surely remember their faces when they were there. We leave in 5 days and they are almost 6 and 3.5. They do remember some things from the first time.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! We had a ball on the trip, and making the video was a great way to relive some of the fun memories.

I hope you have an amazing trip; I'm sure you will. The songs are in order:
Down in New Orleans Prologue - from the Princess and the Frog
It's All Right Here - Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana?
Good Time - Owl City/Carly Rae Jepsen
Mickey Mouse Club March - from the La Vida Mickey album
When Can I See you Again - Owl City
Glad You Came - The Calling

It was so special. We'd read reports about the grumpy CMs, the magic being gone, etc. That wasn't the case for us. Everyone was friendly, happy, and so kind.

Yay for Baylor! We were in Texas for years before this last move. The characters were amazing with him - patient, etc. They can't hold a baby, but most were willing to sit on the floor with him. The princesses and one Minnie in particular.

Exactly - these are memories for ME! And of course there were a few tears shed (including happy ones from mom), but the camera wasn't rolling then. :rotfl:

Could you please post a link in the text? Some of us have suppressed signatures because of bandwidth issues...

I had no idea - I will edit the original post!

I really enjoyed your video. Must admit it brought tears to my eyes. Felt like I was seeing Disney all over again through the eyes of a baby. Wonder what was going on in his little mind? :) Looked like he truly enjoyed it all.

I love this! We have a new grandson who was born in December. We keep telling DS and DDIL that even if they don't go, we think we should visit in July and take him with us. lol. They aren't on board with him going without them. ;)

Glad you had a great time and the video is absolutely darling. Thanks for sharing! Think I will have to share with DDIL.

This is just adoreable! I have decided to take my granddaughter and GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER, in Sept. and we have heard the same thing about her being too young. Her mother and I will remember and we will have the video we take so that as she gets older, she can see what a wonderful time she had with us! What a keepsake!

Great video. Brought tears to my eyes. We took our DS for the first time when he was 18 months old. And people said but he won't remember. And I would say so what if he doesn't remember, we will remember.

It's great to see that others think like I do, that it's never to early to take your child to Disney.

Ok, I teared up watching it too. Now, I'm tearing up just reading that others teared up. And, yes...he is adorable.

I'd like to share a story about our first trip. As I said, DS was just under 3 y.o. (free ;)). Shortly after we got back, he asked for juice one day. I asked him what the magic word was and he said Micky Mouse. I just looked at him and smiled and went get the juice. I had never taught him that the magic word was please and 1.5 years later I still haven't. To this day I ask him that question and it is the same answer. His older brother knows it as please and this is one thing he isn't learning from him.

There is something special about Disney and kids know it!

Great video!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We first took my niece when she was 8 months old, she's almost 4 years old now, and this trip will be her 5th! She loves it almost as much as we do! Anybody who says they're too young to remember, I tell them I WILL!!!
