I have to say our trip was amazing. I'm working on my trip report so I'll be adding to that when I can.
Here's just a few of my thoughts though on a few things:
Downtown Disney: First time I had seen it...I really liked it a lot. We had a lot of fun at the Build A Bear, good lunch at Rainforest...and wow what a great Disney store. Wish there were more bathrooms though.
Desert Inn & Suites: Room, just standard but it was clean and pretty spacious. No complaints really except for the white crusty stuff on the comforter on the bed my son slept in. Glad I usually throw them off anyway.
Staff..front desk anyway horrible...more about that in the trip report.
Disneyland: Memorable, yet tearful to see it through my sons eyes. Happy tears of course. We had so many wonderful moments that will last us a lifetime. My HUGE complaint though was the lack of characters. I understand the whole "low season" thing....but families plan vacations years in advanced and dream of meeting characters, it's dissapointing when you only see them on a parade float. That was the case with Donald Duck, that was the only time we saw him was on the parade float. Goofy and Pluto though were on every corner. As for princesses??? They must ONLY hang out in the princess area now....that's a real shame. We did see Snow White and Cinderella once in CA..they took pics and signed books for less than 5 minutes though. Very dissapointing.
Rides: Great...I loved Indiana Jones...that was my first time riding it. I was kinda jipped though because it broke down my first time and they carried the step stool around for everyone to get off of it and walk the rest of the way out..so needless to say the ending was spoiled for me. But wow..with the lights on..very cool..more in trip report
CA: Ok ok..I chickened out on Tower of Terror.......waited in line with a fastpass and everything. Got on, buckled my seatbelt and said forget this. My chest literally hurt. I couldn't do it........call me a wimp..but man hearing what others were saying and how they looked coming off of it...I couldn't do it.
Screaming AWESOME!!!!!
The design of the park....NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!! I know you spend the day walking ..but having to backtrack in that park is horrible. I dreaded going there for that reason alone. It would have been SO easy for them to make it like Dland where one land opens to the next, but this is like you're in a culdesac.
Weather: Hotter than we were expecting the first few days, cooled off nicely at night.......it was perfect
So much more to come in my trip report with MORE pictures than you could ever ask for.
Oh and we saw the dream team too...but never got dreams. Oh and where were all the other dis'ers...I never saw one lime green mickey
Albort....were you selling Churros on tues or wed between small world and the matterhorn?
