I know this is a way late in mentioning, but we have been crazy busy since we got back. We went to WDW from Nov 11 to the 18th. Man, are we ever depressed to be back here. I think I had the best time of my entire life on this trip. I remember the first time I went, I didn't even want to go, but decided to humour my wife and went. She ran the show and took me everywhere, when I got back it sort of hit me about a month later what I had just experienced. Well, this time was a totally different story. After so much reading here, and in the various books that are available, I was a veritable Disney expert this time. We did so many cool little things this time, but it's the little things that stick out in my mind. For instance, one day after hanging out in AK we took a bus over to OKW resort and then took the boot to the DTD. It is such a long slow, relaxing ride and you get to see some really neat Dis scenery. I loved that boat ride, and the skipper was pretty funny too.

I took 1200 photo's with our digital cam. Downloaded them to the laptop every night after park hopping. Have to sort through them and pick a few hundred to develop I guess.

We were there the day they opened Stitch's Great Escape. I know loads of people have been posting that they did not like this ride/show. But I really liked it. The audio animatronic Stitch looks great. Maybe, it's just because I am such a Stitch fan.

I guess I should do a full trip report, seems like I could go on forever.

Glad to hear you had a great time. Welcome back.

Disney withdrawal sucks......we already trying to plan another trip. Well, I am...she doesn't know about it yet. I will just keep putting the money away secretly. It may take a few years, but we'll get there.

Glad to hear that you had an awesome trip!

We went to Disney Orlando for our first time 4 years ago and had a wonderful time. We are heading back there in January and part of me wondered if a second trip might not be as magical as the first.

But as you mentioned there is so much to do. . . .the boat ride sounds fun!

Blusk a tip for you try renting points from a DVC member for a studio you will get a coffee maker a toaster and a microwave and fridge in your room. If you can get points for a stay in a studio you can go from Sun to Thursday and stay at OKW (Old Key West) for 45 points and some people rent the points on here on the rent and trade board. We also know some people that rent if you would like the info. You will absolutely love the room and the resort is beautiful. Glad you had a great trip can't wait to hear more about it.

We also love the boat ride to DTD. So glad to hear you had a great time.

Welcome back, blusk! Disney withdrawal is inevitable but sounds like you already know what the cure is! ;)

The boat rides are a must for me, too. My favourite is the Sassagoula River cruise from DTD to POR. Did you also go on the ones from MGM to EPCOT through the Boardwalk area and between the resorts in Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake in the MK area? If you have the time, it's a relaxing way to resort hop between the deluxe resorts and Fort Wilderness Campground.

Now you guys went and did it. We got home two weeks ago from two fabulous weeks and I've been too busy to be in withdrawl. Well, I'm starting to get caught up at work and now I really, really, really want to go back. My DD who is 3 asks everyday. "We go to Disney today, Mommy??" I look at her and she already knows the answer. She says, "Not for a long time, right."

Riding the monorail and taking a boat is always an absolute must for us every trip. This trip we went on just about every boat there and the monorail a dozen times. The best boat ride was when we took the ferry to MK and Chip and Dale was on our boat. However, the ferry going in the opposite direction had Pluto on it. My DD hasn't stopped talking about that. I second the suggestion about renting points. We went for the first time using our points and it was fabulous. We stayed at WL, BCV, CR and OKW. Every resort, except WL was new for us. I can't say which is better or worse because each one is so different. That's what is going to be fun for us over the years. Trying out different DVC resorts. (We've already stayed at all the other resorts, except the GF and I don't know if we'll ever stay there).

Now, I'd better get back to work or maybe I should be booking my October trip. :flower1:

When you buy the park hopper passess, I know it mentions it includes disney transportation. I just wanted to double check, does it include the boat rides?
Also, can a person wander through the resorts and eat at any of their establishments?
I am assuming that you can, but just wanted to be sure. Every Disney minute counts!

thanks,

Sandra
:cheer2:

If you're staying on site you can go any transportation means available. You are also able to park at different resorts if you have a priority seating for one of their restaurants. Some resorts may limit the parking if it is a busy time of the year. We always go in the off season so they may enforce rules that I don't know about during the busy time.

Resort hopping is the best. Some of our favourite restaurants are at the resorts. We always eat at the Polynesian at least once a trip and don't forget Chef Mickey's which we always do on our last night there. :Pinkbounc

Welcome back and sounds like you had a great time!!

Start planning the next trip now... always cures my blues!!

Glad you had a great time! :flower1:

We just flew back this past Saturday and I'm now going through withdrawl symptoms too. :guilty:

Oh well we'll just have to start planning another trip! :Pinkbounc
