Mods feel free to move this...I didnt know where to post this...

Our 10 day vacation turned into 8 days of a Miserable hell. DH and I tried our best to have a great time for dd, but in the end, we just had to go home.:sick:We are so sick. Fever, chills, vomiting, I am having migranes, and a cold. we just have no energy. so dh and i made the decision to come home early.....

wednesday, (i think) it rained, and we bought tickets to dis quest. DH thought he would love it, but it just wasnt for us:confused3: so at about 1230pm, we found a man in line to buy tickets, and since our fingers were not attached to the tickets, we gave them to him. It was so neat to see his face. We spoke with someone trying to "sell" their tickets, but it was just so much fun to say here ya go:goodvibes

Just want to give a good shout out to the baymont inn on south orange blossom trail road.....:thumbsup2 they were great. When we checked in, we turned on the tv to watch the weather, and the tv didnt work. we called the front desk and they were booked, besides one suite. They upgraded us to a suite, free of charge. we were treated like royalty.

now for the bad:sad2: yes you knew it was coming.....now i was sick and grouchy, but, the hotel had 2 computers for public use. I needed to transfer some $$..... (now this is just me, dh said i was rude but he agreed with me)....a family of 6 (2 parents and 4 teenage kids) the kids were on their myspace, and the dad was filling out a credit card application:confused3

i waited a good 15 minutes, and i blew my top....I told the mother you know if my daughter was on the computer and an adult wanted to use it, my dd would get her butt up and give it to the adult....THen i got the look--and total silence, like i speak no english......now it is a good 20 minutes, so i just go plop my rear on the desk, and the kids finally get off the computer:idea:
it took me 5 minutes and i was out of there.....

we went to see 2012....to the lady that was sitting by me.....thanks so much for the laugh:lmao: i really needed it, being that i was not feeling well.

she (and us) were there about 25 minutes before the movie started.....there was a chair between me and her and their was an empty chair b/t her and the person on the other side of her....EVERYONE kept asking her to move over, and she point blank told them no. one woman said well you are just so rude....it was too funny. and i do kind of agree with her. she is a local i would imagine people do this kind of thing all of the time. I know i hate when i am waiting for the parade 1 hour before time to start, and someone sneaks in front of me 5 mins before.

We mostly did universal and busch gardens and thank the lord there were no major waits. i was very suprised. overall we are just glad to be home.

lord, how did this get so long:rolleyes1

Sorry you guys weren't feeling well and had a lousy trip. :( Next time will be better!

well, I'm sorry you all got sick and had such a miserable time. I can just see someone posting this stuff about you somewhere on the internet though.

Mom will be saying " My kids were on the public computer and hadn't been on for long when some lady came downstairs and demanded to use it and got all pissy when we didn't give it up to her. She huffed and puffed and then sat on the computer desk giving us the evil eye until my kids let her have it. Why do people have to be so rude ??"

Why do you get the computer if they are on it first ? Where do you get off telling the mother how to parent her child. Good for you for teaching your kids to let an adult use it but what if your kid gave it up and the adult went on it and signed into her MySpace and started doing exactly what the kid was doing?

The movie patron will be saying "how rude and incosiderate this woman at the movies was. She had a space empty on each side of her in a sold out show but wouldn't move left or right so that the two of us could sit together. Doesn't she understand that we couldn't get there sooner. Our babysitter ran late and we ran out as fast as we could and can't wait for the next showing. Geez !!"

I think that if you have a space on either side of you and refuse to move one way or the other, that is just rude. I would then plop down on either side of you and make it very uncomfortable for you to be in between us. We share drinks and candy and popcorn and it would be much easier for us to sit enxt to each other. Even if the show wasn't sold out and there were seats way up front, I would still ask and then sit in the rows further back in available seats.

I'm sorry you were sick on your trip:hug: However, I feel like you were in the wrong for telling the other woman to hurry her kids along.

^^ Me too.

I really do hope you feel better. Being sick sucks. Being sick when you're trying to enjoy your vacation would make me want to cry buckets.

But I don't understand:

1... why you care that someone was filling out a credit card app?
2... why anyone thinks that an adult should have priority over using a free public computer over a child who was already there?

Your DH is right. That was incredibly rude. Even if you thought they were just mucking around browsing the web, how about "I'm sorry, is there any chance I could use the PC for five minutes? I have something I really need to attend to."

Most hotels with public computers have a 30 minute time limit on the computer. I would not have said anything inside that 30 minute frame. When the time limit is not enforced, then I get upset.

This may not be popular, but I think it is kind of rude to be out and about when you are sick and could give it to others. The symptoms you mentioned sound really nasty. It would be a shame if someone else had to go through them during the holiday season because you needed to see a movie. I understand that you spent a lot of money going to WDW, so have others who probably don't want to get sick either.

Hope you are all feeling better soon.

Every one I've every seen had 10 or 15 minute limits. Anyone using longer than that on a hotel lobby computer when people are waiting is rude IMO.

If someone approached my children and asked them to use the computer, I'd be angry at my children if they didn't comply. If someone yelled at my children because she wanted to use the computer, I'd consider that person very rude. I know we're not on our best behavior when we're not feeling well, however.

If there was a time limit asking to use the computer nicely after the time limit had expired seemed the way to go. If there is no time limit then they are free to use the computer as long as they like, even if it is just surfing.

I hope you wiped the computer down when you were done. Using a public computer while sick is much more rude than overstaying the time limit IMO. This is why I bring a laptop. I would never do a financial transaction on a shared computer, it is unsafe. Even on my laptop I open my VPN before doing anything that requires a password. It is just safe computing.

I completely agree. My son and I keep getting sick because of people going out in public with their illnesses. I can't even *fathom* going to a movie theater while ill. When we get sick we stay in.

I'm really sorry that you ended up so sick, but I think staying at the resort and relaxing would have been a better, and healthier for all, idea.

Are you really comparing being bumped out of a spot for a parade, with not sharing two empty seats? That woman was rude, and not funny at all. I don't see what you thought was funny about a woman refusing to move so two people could sit together, just because she got there 25 minutes before the movie started?

I'm sorry you were sick, but I am trying to tally up all the people you may have infected. The man at DISQuest (giving him your ticket), the movies, the public computer......
