Participants in this trip are:

Me--46. Trip planner, and certifiable lover of all things Disney
DH--50. Not usually as enthusiastic about WDW, but he is making me crazy this trip!! He's more excited than any of us! He's actually making suggestions about what we do, where we go, when we go, and how we get there! Miracles DO happen! :D
DS#1--25 years old. In the Army, just moving back to the states after being in Germany for three years! Last trip to WDW was in 1990/1991!
DDIL#1--25 years old. All around wonderful daughter-in-law (every mother-in-law should be this lucky!! A real sweetheart--not sure when she was at WDW last..
DS#2--21 years old. Loves WDW as much as I do!
And, last but not least--Our grandson, KURTIS, age: Just turned 5. Huge fan of Buzz Lightyear, Goofy, and Batman! Has never been to WDW and has spent most of his life in Germany. He's very excited even though he's not exactly sure what a DisneyWorld is. He's about to find out!

I think I have everything set for our trip. Flying on SWA--got great prices--less than $100 per person! My DH said that the most important thing for him on this trip is that we're all together, so we're staying for eight nights at OKW in a 2 BR, I have the park hoppers and annual passes, we're renting a mini-van in Orlando.

The actual planning of how/where we'll spend our days has been surprisingly difficult for me. It's usually just the two of us for our WDW vacations and we don't make a lot of plans. We've been to the parks many times and generally just revisit our favorite attractions or those we haven't seen for a while. We usually skip most everything in Fantasyland--except Winnie-the-Pooh. I honestly can't tell you the last time I saw anything else in that part of the MK! We very rarely have problems getting into any restaurant we want. So, planning this trip has been a bit of a challenge.

Anyway, after consulting with the kids (they want to see EVERYTHING, of course!) I put together a somewhat loosely structured itinerary consisting primarily of which park we'll be at on which day / night and where we'll have breakfast, lunch, or dinner on that day. I'm really surprised at the amount of time it took to put together! We have PS at Alfredo's, Liberty Tree, Artist Point (just DH and I--no matter how much we love our family, we'll need to escape for a few hours!), Chef Mickey's, Hollywood & Vine, and a couple of others I can't remember at the moment. My DDIL#1 didn't want to dine at the Geman pavilion. When I asked she and my son responded with a resounding "NO!" I guess they weren't very impressed with the food in Germany.

I called WDW Florist to have a basket delivered for DGS when we arrive on the! It will have Goofy and Tigger beanbags, Mouse Ears, an autograph book and pen, snacks, a mylar balloon and two Mickey ear balloons! His favorite character is Buzz Lightyear so we're going to have the card read "Welcome to WDW. We're glad you're here. Love, The Disney Gang. P.S. Buzz says Hi!"

So, I guess we're on our way!! We're just waiting for the limo to take us to the airport! The kids don't know about that--Gramma/Mom has to have SOME surprises!

I'll post a trip report when we get back!

Sounds like it's going to be a great trip! Can't wait for you to post the report when you return.

Beth
